Guest Daniel Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 Terrible, anyone watching it? Its a disgrace.
Guest Daniel Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 Tossers aint they 36815 Thats a compliment. How can they get away with it? Cole getting it bad aswel now. Hope Wright Phillips bangs the equaliser.
Craig Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 or Defoe, bet that won't shut the wankers up though <_<
Oli Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 Bunch of twats. I dont think they realise what decade this is!
Guest Daniel Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 I just couldnt believe my ears when they started doing them noises. Disgusting. Im well and truely shocked, i thought this shit was out of football now?
Louise Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 Revolting. Getting worse Will they get properly punished? I very much doubt it. If that happened in this country Mr Blatter would be straight on our backs. In this country Aragones would have been sacked already.
Steven Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 Bunch of twats. I dont think they realise what decade this is! 36818 They are still stuck in the 14th Century. <_<
Guest Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 I gave up watching the game, I couldn't stand it!! However, no doubt the Spanish FA will say it never happened like last night.....
Muz Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 It made me really uncomfatble. If nothing get's done well there is somethng seriously wrong
Ash Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 I didnt get to watch the match , but what ive been told they were doing is really bad ! Disgraceful , no other word to describe it !
Cobbo Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 Upsetting that there are still so many ignorant people out there I would personally throw Spain out of the World Cup, would their fans ever be racist at matches after that? Of course, they will probably get a slapped wrist but nothing worse.
Wilson Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 It just made me laugh how ridiculous it is - we shouldn't be seeing stuff like this nowadays.
Scow Posted 17 November 2004 Posted 17 November 2004 They'll get a minor fine, that's about it. One rule for one, one rule for another....
Guest Daniel Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 If that was the English then surely we'd be thrown out of the world cup or something. Surely there is black people in the crowd? That could of caused a riot.
Guest Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 I would personally throw Spain out of the World Cup, would their fans ever be racist at matches after that?36862 Carl said exactly the same thing.
Collymore Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 Think we are protected quite a lot in the Uk and is quite a shock when we realise this still goes on. IMO David Beckham should have took the players of the pitch and cancelled the game. That would sent out the message that this is unacceptable and untill they change their ways they will not be able to play any teams. Also i hope this knack's up their bid for the olympics. It would be a crime if they were successful.
Solihullfox Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 Absolutely disgraceful that no comments on what happened last night can be made by FIFA or UEFA until England have officially complained, doesn't stop Mr. Blatter spouting off whenever he feels like interfering with english football matters ! Mind you the Spanish crowds performance has probably scuppered any chance that Madrid had of being awarded the 2012 Olympic games.
gjp Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 I am shocked at what happened last night not least because it was thousands who were making the racist abuse. I have on the odd occasion heard racist remarks at grounds but to be honest this is usually met with abuse towards the perpetrator and the alienation they then feel would hopefully make them think twice in the future. I do agree though that if this had happened in England we would be in serious trouble and wait with interest to see what happens to the Spanish. It is a shame though for the decent Spanish fans that will suffer because of a bunch of prats.
gloucesterfox Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 I think that a video tape should be made of those parts of last nights match and it together with a copy of what their coach said should be sent to every voting Olympic committee member and let them know they sank their countries Olympic bid that was advertised on the hoardings around the ground.
Ric Flair Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 What I would be interested in hearing is how many people in Spain are actually racist, as in they actually dislike black people because of their colour. Fining them or throwing them out of the world cup might stop the chants and noises, but are these noises been made because they think it's clever and intimidating or do they make them because they generally hate black people. If they do generally hate someone because of their colour then i'm astounded in this day and age, I really am. People make comments about people's skin colour still to this day but often it is a comment that is made without any substance or meaning, they just say it as a remark not as a hatred. But if thousands and thousands of fans last night were actually chanting that through hatred then there is a big, big problem. It's a big problem as it is, but to stop racism these people need to be educated I think because there's no reason in this day and age to hate someone because of their colour. I am shocked from what I saw last night, what makes me laugh is how the papaers have ran a story today that both Athletico Madrid and Real Madrid are in a battle to sign Shaun Wright-Phillips, hmmmmmmm that will happen. Something needs to be done, it's disgraceful.
Stuliasz Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 I like everyone was shocked at the behaviour of the spanish fans last night, but I was equally as shocked to see the reaction from the spanish FA, seemingly implying we were to blame!!! : Were there racist chants? This hasn't happened in Spain for many years. You should ask yourselves what you have done to contribute to this. This has really p*ssed me off.
scodger cubs Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 Apparently it was as bad at the Under 21's game. Bananas were being thrown onto the pitch. If that was the English Fans...we'd get kicked out of the World Cup as someone also said on this thread. Ridiculous.

First he/she is denying there were any chants, then implying we are to blame for such behaviour.
