Guess Levein feels he hasn't saw enough of Gemmill to decide yet , so giving him more time i guess !

He tries, cant fault him there.;)

Like someone said, i dont think CL has seen enough yet.

Awful.

What happened to reducing the age of the squad, he is a disgrace to the Championship, nevermind us.

Stephen Dawson, i'd get out of here quick if i was you :(

"He approaches the game the right way and that is something that we have been impressed with. He's a good lad and is always keen to get involved."

I dont want to critise Craig Levein this early into his time with us, but that is simply not a good enough reason to pay this past its wages for another 3 months. Whether he's a good lad or not, it doesnt make him a good player!

Well we obviously have money if we can afford this muppet, so i expect some good signings in January now :)

I think we have adequate cover in midfield without Gemmill. We should be spending those wages on securing a striker.

I was thinking the same thing Petrescu. Levein is a shrewd man and if money was extremely tight to the point he can't bring anyone in then Gemmill would of been kicked out, I can only assume that Levein will have enough money to bring some players in himself. If he can't then I find this decision ludicrous.

I don't rate Gemmill, he doesn't do anything that any of our academy lads couldn't do (Dawson especially) This was a perfect opportunity to get rid of a 30+ year old journeyman who's done **** all for this club and more than likely never will. It's players like Gemmill that make this club as nasty as it is, there no vibrancy here. I can't wait till the end of the season when all these wankers are released, well I hope they are anyway! But if by some unlikely event we do get promoted this season, we can kiss our chances of seeing the likes of Dawson and Stearman playing as you know most teams policy when they get in to the premiership it's all experience, experience, experience.

Now i'm not having a go at Levein, he probably doesn't want these old wankers anymore than we do, but until I see them got rid of I can't relax.

One good thing is that I was watching Central News last night and Levein was being interviewed and the players were training in the background and Dawson and Stearman were training with the first team. which is a start! as Adams rarely ever had the youngsters training with his **** up's. Let's hope they impress enough because the thought of that gypsy Gemmill in our team on saturday angers me.

Craig Levein's Blue and White Army!!

I cannot believe this. If Levein hadn't seen enough of Gemmill already (which is a pathetic excuse imo - what the hell are training sessions for then, plus the few appearances he has made recently??) then surely another 1 month contract would have been sufficient.

This 3 month contract is far too long - much more than Gemmill deserves. Fair enough, he tries his hardest, but he is too old and doesn't add anything to the team. Very bad decision by Levein. :(

When has Levin said he hasn't seen enough?

From the OS:

Scot Gemmill has today signed a new three-month contract with the Foxes.

The 33-year-old midfielder joined the club on a short term deal at the start of the season after lengthy spells at Nottingham Forest and Everton.

His initial contract ended in October but was extended by a further month as the club looked for a new manager.

And City boss Craig Levein confirmed that he had been impressed enough with what he had seen from the Scotsman to offer him a new deal.

Levein said: "Although Scot hasn't actually started a first team game since we have been here we feel that we have seen enough on the training ground and in reserve games to offer him another three months.

"He approaches the game the right way and that is something that we have been impressed with. He's a good lad and is always keen to get involved."

Gemmill has made 10 appearances for the Foxes since his summer move and could be in contention for a place in the squad to face Plymouth on Saturday following the injury to Danny Tiatto and the suspension of Joey Gudjonsson.

I didn't mean Levein has said that he hadn't seen enough of Gemmill - I was referring to the comments of other people on this thread who said that the 3 month extension is 'cos Levein hasn't seen enough of Gemmill.
