Jay Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 £27 for my ticket today, its a lot and i hope its worth it.. surely they could of made this game a fans fixture as its a bank holiday weekend well you could have saved yourself a £5 if you got a ticket in the North or South Stand!!
john_lcfc Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 just buy the cheapest ticket then sit where u like???? its not like theres a demand for seats therell only be about 13,000 spare to choose from
Jay Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 Only £22 to watch leicester v southend That's what I said!!! you can't buy a ticket in the second most expensive part of the ground and then complain about the price!! that's just crazy talk!!! saying that I do think the prices should have been cheaper and maybe the same price throughout the ground afterall no stand is better than the other except for the people who pay more to sit in the west stand because they are more special than the rest of us!! you could have borrowed my ST for £15.00 as I can't go today!!!
stez Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 i wish the club would realise that if they charged between 10 and 20 notes for tickets, they'd fill the ground more, sell more pies, more stuff from the shop, more programmes etc nobs
vanfox12 Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 still poor then. Not really about the same as attendances in the premiership at Filbert St. The trouble is the walkers is a bigger stadium and thats why attendances seem so poor. Our Attendances are still better than the likes of Stoke City. It's good thing we never got planning permission for the 40,000 stadium on Bede Island South or we would be really stuffed. Face facts if the footballs poor why should anyone fork out even a tenner and a quid for kid. If we were in the Premiership or Winning every week we'd fill the stadium no problem although it would help if the fans fixture were £10 instead of £15 which in my opinion is a bit of rip off. Also here's a another thought maybe the bubbles burst and people are growing tired of the hype and the middle classes who jumped on the bandwagon will go back to watching Rugby.
Guest Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 Wasn't it the 2nd highest attendance in the Championship today? I think the post-96 effecct has worn off, to be fair.
Ultra Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Post-02 effect in our case. But yesterday's crowd was still about 5000 up on what we would have had if we'd still been at Filbo.
Jimmy Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Wasn't it the 2nd highest attendance in the Championship today? I think the post-96 effecct has worn off, to be fair. exactly ALL attendences are down in this league and we are getting more then a lot of other teams, highest attendance of the season so far, a few mow wins and we'll be comforatably over 20k
Ultra Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Maybe, but our next three home games are against Hull, Colchester and QPR. With all due respect to them, they are hardly likely to set pulses racing. The rot has set in after three seasons of poor results at the Way. Many erstwhile FOXES will only be tempted back by a long run of convincing victories, in which we score more goals than we're managing at the moment. And I fear we're still some distance away from reaching that stage.
Tommeh Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Wigan only got 15,000 and their premier league. I don't know why but most attendances have dropped it's not just ours. The F.A's excuse was people on holiday so if they don't improve they'll have to take action with clubs!! well they best do!
Bluefoxtim Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 i wish the club would realise that if they charged between 10 and 20 notes for tickets, they'd fill the ground more, sell more pies, more stuff from the shop, more programmes etc nobs No they wouldn't - end of. Think about it. How many people actually buy a pie and/or programme? answer - very few. Also, if you put prices down, people would think this as the norm and once they go back up, even less people would turn up. When the club do kids for a quid etc, people believe we make more money/better atmosphere, but the club actually loses a lot
Bluefoxtim Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Post-02 effect in our case. But yesterday's crowd was still about 5000 up on what we would have had if we'd still been at Filbo. But again, a full stadium is always better than an empty one, 50 people in a room make more noise than 100 in a whole office. <<<
