So we are 11th
Alexikokopops Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 wont we be fourteenth because of goal difference? Did you take into account the changing Goal Difference of the other teams. Fr'instance Barnsley, who lost 5-1. The table post originally is correct.
Foxhateram Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 No goaldifference is taken into account.... So we are 11th oh ok then wicked!!! i obviously did my maths wrong . well thats nice to hear top half and on our way, this is more like it!!

Alexikokopops Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 Probably our highest position for 2 years!!! On that note I only found out today that before this season the last time Man Utd had topped the table was January 2004. My word.
Maybes Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 However next game WBA away....not looking so good now!

DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 However next game WBA away....not looking so good now! It's good we got a win out of today, because next week we will get raped rather badly.
Mort Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 It's good we got a win out of today, because next week we will get raped rather badly. You never know... we seem to have a knack for cocking it up against poor sides and then managing surprises against the bigger clubs, remember the Palace game last season. But on balance i think we'll have to do very well to get somthing out of the game... and then we have Brum away makes the Hull, Colchester, Hull and Sunderland games really impotant if we could win all four we'd be in a very strong position and I've no doubt we can do that... its just a matter of wether we will
C-man Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 It's good we got a win out of today, because next week we will get raped rather badly. Then we're lucky that we're not playing next weekend because England are.
Thracian Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 The big problem for Kelly will be deciding whether to go "football" against West Brom or perceived "durability". We've got the team to win if we play it but there's no evidence that we will. Indeed, March 18 was the last time we won away (against Millwall) and since then we've lost three and drawn two - ie two points from 15. And, we've only scored two goals which explains why we don't win. We averaged less than a point a game throughout the whole of last season and in our last 25 games or 75 available points we've won just five and taken only 22 points so why we persist with "durability" instead of "win the ball then attack" is anyone's guess. I'd play: Henderson (he won't get replaced by Logan after a clean sheet), Stearman, McCarthy, Kisnorbo, Sheehan, Low, Hughes, Williams, Porter, Hume, O'Grady. Subs: Logan, Kenton, Wesolowski, Fryatt, Tiatto. In some ways I fancied Johnson because of his West Brom knowledge and Fryatt for his West Midlands connections but in the end I prefer a balanced team of in-form players and the extra foraging of Hume and O'Grady. I think that team would always be capable of scoring and is close to our best available. Only the questions of Henderson/Logan, Williams/Weso and Hume/Fryatt are too tight to call right now.
Thracian Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 It's good we got a win out of today, because next week we will get raped rather badly. That doesn't sound like an Aussie attitude. And talking of Aussies they've got to get passed Kisnorbo first and right now it doesn't look like even The Invisible Man would get by Kissa!.
