That's not early De Niro. Early De Niro is Taxi Driver, Once Upon A Time In America, The Godfather Part ll, Raging Bull, The Deer Hunter, Awakenings, Goodfellas, Casino and my all time favourite Heat. I guess i class the older De Niro and his better roles up to about 1995, everything after '95 has been average in my opinion. Although Ronin is very good. :D

Some damn good stuff in that list.

5/6 of those would be in my top 20 of all time.

I bow to your De Niro experiences. Not seen half of them yet heard of them....

Casino and Goodfellas - Need no introduction, class! Haven't seen any of the Godfather trilogy.

Taxi Driver and Heat I have got to see. The only other De Niro films I've seen are his newer stuff - Meet the Fockers etc, Analyze this/that....hence why I thought Ronin was early De Niro.

Best trilogy of all time, Godfather one quite possibly the greatest film ever made.

I'm jealous of you to be honest you have something THAT good still to watch.

Ha, believe me, I've heard how good they are, and they've been on my list for some time. I just haven't found 9 hours (I think it is) to watch them...until now that is

Haha you don't need to bow mate. De Niro is my fave screen actor of all time. Followed his career. Even the movies he was in that kinda sucked, he still always puts in a great performance.

Get your ass watching Casino, Heat, Taxi Driver and Goodfellas. You won't, or at least shouldn't, be disappointed. :)

This to watch at the weekend. Any good people?

I keep seeing many mixed reviews about it. Lots saying it's shit, lots saying it's great. I fall into the latter category. I thought it was pretty good and one of the better horror films I've seen in recent years.

If you're into bad films this podcast is really good. Its pretty much three comedians and a guest sitting around talking about a different bad film each time. This week they actually got the director of Punisher: War Zone (she also did Green Street) to talk about the film. On the basis of how bad and insane it sounds I've just ordered it from Amazon for £2.55.

It was great and had a great atmosphere....that is until the last third of the film where it just was utter shite. The 'other side' was pap and as scary as a made for tv movie.

Does anyone else have DVD's in their collection that still haven't got round to being watched and usually still in their original plastic wrap?

Looking at my shelves today I saw:

The Fountain

Alexander: The Ultimate Cut

A Man Called Horse

To name a few.
