He became yesterday's man and that's the way he can stay for me.
Marcoos Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 No - guys a tw@t and all that "the futures marked out" stuff was really, really annoying....
davieG Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 No - guys a tw@t and all that "the futures marked out" stuff was really, really annoying.... I doubt that had anything to do with him any more than 'foxes never quit', 'keep the faith', 'were in it together' had to do with any other manager, agree we should never have him back.
Ultra Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 I doubt that had anything to do with him any more than 'foxes never quit', 'keep the faith', 'were in it together' had to do with any other manager, agree we should never have him back. Agreed. He's history, and should stay that way.
Bert Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Yep, i agree with Ultra he's history, we want to go forwards and not backwards.
Stevosevic Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 he is a good manager done a very good job at brighton and millwall. And has shown loyalty to them, and he has said that what he did at city he regrets. if rob kelly was to leave would mcghee be a option why are we talking about Mark Mcghee? RK is doing a reasonable job and will not be leaving anytime soon, also i dont really see Mark mcghee as the man to take us forward, a young hungry manager is required. some would say we already have one.
Harpenden Fox Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 Obviously hated the way he walked out, but I seem to remember when he was in charge we played some superb football. Particularly remember one televised game against West Brom, which I think happened to mark the debuts of Kalac and Kamaark, in which we played quite superbly, and only let in two because of Kalac's buffonery. The only games I've seen this season are the Luton and Burnley matches, and the phrases 'superb football', and 'played quite superbly' were not front of mind. Anyway as others have said, it's not going to happen.
Clogger Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 I'd rather burn in hell. On 606 Brighton fans want him sacked.
andrewsnaith Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 I admit at the start of the 95/96 season (my first as a season ticket holder) he got us playing some good passing football but they guy was a dick and as soon as he got the opportunity to jump to something he perceived as better (Wolves ? !) he was off so fast he didnt even leave a dust trail! Not the type of person i would ever like back at this club!

NFFC Chris Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 I'd rather burn in hell. On 606 Brighton fans want him sacked. Yes an overrated manager indeed,he was fortunate to take them up from league one a few years ago and was also lucky to keep them up the next season. They went down last season and may struggle this season.Though I was impressed when they played us but their confidence will be at an all time low as they lost to Crewe 4-1 at home.
steve_wilson101 Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 Not a chance. 'I'd only leave Leicester for one of fours clubs, Man Utd, Liverpool, Celtic and....Wolves?????????????' So sad, if he hadn't bug gered off we'd have never got MON though so good riddence and please stay gone thank you.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 What's Mark McGhee got to do with the price of fish?
maccfox Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 even if he hadnt been with us before i wouldnt want him at all!! think he is a poor manager, just what has he ever acheived?? yes we played very well at times under him but i thought teams had sussed us out when he left. As for the way he went well i can forgive Little and have done but McGit? NEVER!!! he can rot!
