Stearman and Dawson play well again , Its surely time for them two to be given a chance

Stearman had a lot better game than Heath tonight, so hopefully he'll at least appear on the bench

Anyone know how Aarran Butcher played tonight? ;)

42107

He had a great game to. Had a bit of skill tonight aswell, a few ronaldo step overs going on. The best though, was when he was just like bouncing the ball on his head, and these two Southampton players were very confussed about what he was doing lol

42110

Thanks for that. :);)

Levein will only want one defender on the bench I imagine, so Heath will get the nod. <_<

Steven do you sponsor Butcher? Who sponsors Stearman? I've seen that Dawson has signed up to some elite sports agency that have a massive list of impressive footballers.

Go and type Stephen Dawson in to google and there's a sprts management website that he's on, check out the other clients.

Pleased to see Stearman and Dawson playing well again. How was Wright and Wesolowski?

Not sponsoring any players at the moment - except that I have a part share in the Stearman sponsorship.

There was a girl (she calls herself Butcher's No. 1 fan) on another site who had posted the result and wanted to know how Butcher had played. I asked on here, Emma replied  , and took her commentary and posted that on another board (with full credit to Emma).

According to the report, Wesolowski had a great individual run, but didn't manage to finish it off, so he must at least have been semi-impressive ;)

Don't know how well Wright did though...

If Wesolowski doesn't make it at Leicester i'd be extremely surprised, he came here with a fantastic reputation although so did Tomi Petrescu. Wesolowski and Dawson could be in our midfield for years to come with abit of luck.

Aye, I remember reading an article about Wesolowski 2 years ago, when he came to Leicester at the age of 14. I expect great things from him. I'm really disappointed we let Petrescu go, although I would think the judgement was right. But he had so much promise and apart from O'Grady we dont really have outstanding young strikers. Wright's been standing still now for some time, and I believe that if he doesn't get a chance this season, he will move on, even though he's a homegrown lad...

O'Grady has levelled out and hasn't pushed on like expected. He is at Notts County on loan at the minute and i've been reading their messageboards and some say he's decent and others say he is awful. Doubt he'll ever be good enough for us, shame. This time last season our strikers we our strong point at both first team and reserve/youth level, now look!! Petrescu had a bad attitude and didn't push on like he did in the 02/03 season when he made his debut, another waste of talent. Wright is at a crossroads now, he's never really been given a good run in the team, but you could argue he might not deserve it. I personally think he deserves one last chance whilst our other strikers are playing badly anyway!

Louis Dodds and James Graham are both talented, Graham definately has what it takes to make it, but again that's the easy part it's actually making it that's the problem.

'K, haven't actually kept up to date with O'Grady's progress at Notts County, but let's not forget that they're a team in crisis and I doubt he gets many goal scoring chances. I forgot about Dodds and Graham of course, but they're not regulars in the reserves yet (doesn't Graham still have to make his debut at reserve level?) so it will take at least some years before they'll be in the first team reckoning.

How good are Gondal and McGavin actually?

O'Grady might well still make it, but he had a brilliant start to last season in the reserves and then got injured and since he came back he hasn't been the same. Time will tell, his loan at Notts County has got to be beneficial to him. Again he's only 18, nearly 19 so things can happen.

Graham has made a few sub appearances in the reserves, he would have made more but he's been out injured for the majority of this season due to a hernia operation. He is prolific at youth level though, just as Wrighty was. He bagged a hat-trick in a pre-season friendly though, I didn't go to the match but apparently he was on fire. Dodds is more of an attacking midfielder and he's at the age where he needs to push on, great vision though.

Gondal and McGavin are run of the mill youngsters, i'd be surprised if they made it. Perhaps at lower level they might but never at City's first team level.

42367

One last chance? :o :o He's hardly had any anyway! 3 starts in 3 years and very few sub appearances, where he has shown more effort, commitment and ability than the likes of Blake and Dublin. He deserves more than one last chance given how many chances the other people calling themselves strikers we have, have had.

I didn't mean one chance, as in one game. I mean considering he made his debut when he was 17 and he's had the odd game here and there nothing has ever materialised. So I think what's best for both club and player is to give Wright a number of games in the first team and if he isn't any better than what we've got then let him look elsewhere. Whenever i've seen him he's looked decent, especially at this level. People that can't be bothered to look past his time at Brentford will disagree but he certainly knows where the net is in the reserves and he scored some scorchers in pre-season.

They both had a great game. As the OS says about Wesolowski's solo effort. Wright came off near the end because he got a bit injured, but when the match had finished, he looked like he'd recovered.

I once saw Wesolowski piss-faced in T.J's munching on some food, it must have been a year ago aswell. Hope he doesn't make a habit of that!!!!
