stez Posted 11 September 2006 Posted 11 September 2006 what minor celebs from yesteryear do you find yourself wondering where they be? i often wonder where: andrerw strong off 'the commitments' is these days and: one-time-every-bloody-where 'actor','singer' and 'name-giver-too' of products sean maguire and adam eye off live and kicking, but sadly there's no pictorial evidence of him ever existing
Deathside Posted 11 September 2006 Posted 11 September 2006 Oú est Trevor et Simon? Who were trevor + Simon?
Steven Posted 11 September 2006 Posted 11 September 2006 Who were trevor + Simon? You are none the poorer for not knowing.
lookwhaticando Posted 11 September 2006 Posted 11 September 2006 Who were trevor + Simon? If i'm not mistaken, from "Going Live!" in the 80s... and perhaps Live and Kicking in the early-mid 90s... Could be wrong, tho.
Nationwider Posted 11 September 2006 Posted 11 September 2006 Trevor and Simon appeared as a "comic" double act on Going Live, the Saturday morning kid's show, as LWICD has correctly pointed out. They brought us such musical whimsies as "Swing Your Pants" and a rockin' cover version of "Jennifer Juniper". I think they went by the name of The Singing Corner, a sort of 60's/folk/hippy pastiche. Well, I liked them anyway.
Head Honcho Posted 11 September 2006 Posted 11 September 2006 Oú est Trevor et Simon? Trevor was a musician at the 2005 Glastonbury on theSunday, playing with his band in the John Peel Tent. Simon appeared on maracas for a song. Trevor and Simon wrote a series six episode called "Dan's the Man" of My Parents Are Aliens in 2006. They also visited the set during the filming of the episode but did not guest on the show. Thanks wikipedia!

Fez of Mahrez Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 The Maguirester went to the US of A and had a hit sit com ... allegedly, and also went to Broadway...so not done tooo badly! I remember getting home from a club one night a couple of years ago and putting the TV on, competely hammered, and seeing an American sitcom in which the two main parts were played by Sean Maguire and Finch from American Pie. It was bizarre.

Finnegan Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Andrew Strong just went back to being a musician. He's recorded a number of albums that were probably fairly well known in Ireland (and, let's face it, America.) He's actually recorded Ireland's Call, as well, and probably sung it at Landsdowne Road so I'd imagine he's still fairly well known with the Irish. Got a fabulous pair of lungs on him, that lad.
Daggers Posted 13 September 2006 Posted 13 September 2006 Must be a music connection to all this - I've heard no toe-tapping pop smashes from these two for a while either...
