We've never had a player since who consistently scored absolute rippers. Izzet did score some blinders as did Joey, but around half of Joachim's goals were pearlers.

When he received the ball and you could feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, you just knew he was going go past someone at rapid pace. I was distraught when he left, we've never had a player anything like him since.

We also lost to Chelsea on pens in the League Cup in 1983-84. To my knowledge these are the only two occasions in major competitions when we've lost in shootouts.

Katy Posted 21 September 2006 Posted 21 September 2006 Barnsley beat us once. Kevin Poole was actually injured in this game and went on to save 2 pens (I think) whilst hobbling about - what a hero. We still fecking lost though, I think Lee Philpott missed one as well
