Head Honcho Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 Some good pubs around Queensway and Notting Hill Gate and only two stops from The Bush ! Walkabout on SBG is ok for away fans too, nice big screen if there's an early match to be watched.
Lester LXXIV Posted 27 September 2006 Author Posted 27 September 2006 So who is for beers and burgers at the Porterhouse at 12? Is it right in the square of covent garden or a bit further away?? Sounds good though!
Monk Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 Is it right in the square of covent garden or a bit further away?? Sounds good though! Yeah its just off one of the side streets, about a 5 min walk from the underground. Depends what everyone else wants to do - if you guys want to go nearer the ground thats cool though I don't know squat about west london. I will probo be about after the game too, if I am not too depressed, or hanging round the stadium chanting Kelly Out/Sack the board.....
Finnegan Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 Been talking to me da' about this one this one last week. Not had a good bonding session with my dad in about six months so he's coming down to watch the game, bringing away tickets with him. As for getting pissed in central london first, you 'avin' a laff? (is he 'avin' a laff?) the further out you go, the cheaper you go. Where abouts in Arsenal are you, whoever said they were in Arsenal? You're just down the road from me!
lcfcalan Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 I recommend Hammersmith. I second that reccomendation
Lester LXXIV Posted 28 September 2006 Author Posted 28 September 2006 I ain't fussed, we just need to agree, which could be a problem
gatesheadfox Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 As for getting pissed in central london first, you 'avin' a laff? TrickyTrev Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Yeah I might be up for this. Not White City or Shepherd's Bush, Hammersmith.
Monk Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Where abouts in Arsenal are you, whoever said they were in Arsenal? You're just down the road from me! Just off Gillespe road down by the old stadium. Tis alright. Was living in Docklands but moved oop north a wee bit for a while.
The People's Hero Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 I don't know anything about London so I'll go where you lot want, no fuss from me!
Head Honcho Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 agreed its cheaper, but not really bothered about cost, as long as its decent bars. if hammersmith is cracked up to be good i shall venture there I've lived in Shepherds Bush and to be honest the only good thing about going for a drink in Hammersmith before the game is that it's only 2 stops from Shepherds Bush. All you'll find in Hammersmith is the usual Wetherspoons and various other pub chains! The Globe on Marylebone Road is where a lot of City exiles meet up before the London games. It's right next to Baker St tube which is on the Hammersmith and City line that takes you straight to The Bush

If people are meeting about 12 or so I will be wanting BURGER!
