Ultra Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Seems to me that all arguments/discussions fall into two distinct camps the most vociferous being those who are "anti". Now before the game, given our present position I'd have taken a point. Birmingham are unbeaten in 11 and we are not good. Not sure why people poo poo the virus thing. Why would the club lie about it? Forfar had only had 8 fit players yesterday, two of which were keepers. Now I can't find a Forfar forum but I doubt there'd be such venom on there today following a 7-1(?) defeat. Just because people are happy with a result does not mean they accept everything the club stands for at present. For me, we're a youngish poor championship side who have to field players of the calibre of Andy Johnson because thats where we are. Am I happy about that? No. Do I understand that unless money comes flooding in it will remain that way? Yes Am I up the arse of the club? No Am I in the minority? On these boards yes which seems that it therefore opens me and likeminded individualsup to be ridiculed and insulted. Thankfully there are no cyber stocks to be locked up in. That's the way it's going to stay, until Mandaric the Messiah arrives and takes us to promotion, the Premiership title, the treble and five straight Champions League titles..

Or he will hire a convicted kiddy fiddler like rix and get us relegated. When people will hound him out like most of our managers, then he will sell our training ground and run off with that cash.
lookwhaticando Posted 1 October 2006 Author Posted 1 October 2006 Sorry if I offended you... you bitch swine ball bag. No offence taken. Just watch your back, or you'll take a battering from my Gucci, again. Or he will hire a convicted kiddy fiddler like rix and get us relegated. When people will hound him out like most of our managers, then he will sell our training ground and run off with that cash. You could have saved yourself a lot of typing and just said he'd "rape the club"
Ultra Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 We've had serious problems against packed defences and negative visitors throughout Kelly's and Levein's time. But Kelly seems almost as cautious at home as he is away. Colchester was pitiful with Hughes on the right. Apparently he's quite approachable but I'd love to hear our boss try to justify that - journalistic training or not. Johnson was there too - it was like having a duck-four shunter and a jinty tank instead of the Streaks we really need. If we're not careful we'll get a complex about playing at home. It's already there - and has been for the past three years. Last season it looked as if Kelly had got rid of it. But now it's returned with a vengeance. No wonder so many fans are frustrated.
Daggers Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 You're truely amazing. Even if it isn't spelt correctly, I sincerely appreciate the expression of admiration. I'd like to say that 'you are truly amazing' too, but I'm simply not as mendacious as your good self.

I could say it's only the internet, don't take it so seriously. But you have already used that one today. I'm not mendacious as it's true, you are amazing. You elicit disbelief everytime I read your posts.

shen Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 Most of the best managers never slag their players off in public. Look at Ferguson, for example. One of his players might be on a shocking run but it's always, 'the ref', 'dodgy opposition tactics', 'the wrong coloured shirts', what have you... Managers are always going to keep the bollockings behind closed doors. But it seems RK genuinely believes what he says, how else can you explain Johnson/Hughes continually being in the squad after repetitive shocking performances? I know some managers don't come out and say their team sucked balls, but you have quite a few that come out and criticise their team, just saying 'it wasn't good enough'. With RK however, it's all about 'looking at the positives' and trying to convince himself, the team and the fans that our results away are good.
Smudge Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 I read this thread early Sunday morning, went out for the day along the James River and I came back to see how the debate had progressed., (bear in mind I am 5 hours behind) Calling Babylon "the Babyone is inexcusable and you (whoever the you are) owe that man an apology. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and to belittle the man in this way is inexcusable, I was waiting to see a moderator step in but to no avail. Someone who calls himself "The Peoples Hero" self proclaims himself as "not moderator material" well, I can only agree. None of us can be content with the way our team is performing but to behave like this unacceptatble. Just because you write a post every 3.3 seconds doesn't give anyone the right to be obnoxious and abusive.

I was around last night when this was going on but I think Babylon seems perfectly capable of looking after himself. As long as it doesn't get too abusive, a bit of heated debate never went amiss. Just shows how much we all care and if the team showed as much anger about the way things are going then maybe we wouldn't be in this mess much longer. That's just my take though and I've only been a mod two days.

However, for the team to come out and play like that, they'd need somebody to give them the green light to go ahead and come out all guns blazing, as well as the right pre-match motivation. Under RK atm, they do not seem to be getting this, and so the saga continues...
BartonFox Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 Seriously, I'll pay for a room, 2 if I have to at the Holiday Inn
The People's Hero Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 Seriously, I'll pay for a room, 2 if I have to at the Holiday Inn I'll take one. With a lady. 5 minutes and I'm done. Seriously.
BartonFox Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 Five minutes, the Holiday Inn it isn't one of these pay by the hour joints, nor is the Holiday Inn Express.
