Finnegan Posted 4 October 2006 Posted 4 October 2006 Not during Trust meetings........ ... and... afterwards?
Foxes_Trust Posted 4 October 2006 Posted 4 October 2006 ... and... afterwards? think we should skirt around that issue
Milky Posted 4 October 2006 Posted 4 October 2006 His match reports are an inspiration......as in it inspired us to introduce match reports on our website where real fans were free to make it quite clear when somebody had a 'mare & give a true assessment without worrying whether they have upset a potential interview candidate at the training ground next week. i agree with that completely. The man is a complete joke. I lost count of the amount of times he wrote "another solid display from rogers". i don't think he has ever criticised a player in his time with the paper.

eaststandtom Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Wasn't MON trained in law?. yes he was!!!!!! true true
eaststandtom Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 i agree with that completely. The man is a complete joke. I lost count of the amount of times he wrote "another solid display from rogers". i don't think he has ever criticised a player in his time with the paper. like hughes recently. he is always getting ' worked hard for the cause' or ' things didnt fall for him' kinda comments. to be fair the mercury, concerning all matters be it sporting or political, have a major sit on the fence policy. so not to offend anyone in our great city. downside of this it doesnt provoke debate between people whatever the issue is. this can cause more issues in some ways than not being critical. problems are then then not ackonowledged ie, hughes playing crap all season etc am i waffling? probably
Thracian Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 As a Spurs supporter that's unlikely Who wears a Hearts cap!.
Thracian Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Correct he isn't a member. His match reports are an inspiration......as in it inspired us to introduce match reports on our website where real fans were free to make it quite clear when somebody had a 'mare & give a true assessment without worrying whether they have upset a potential interview candidate at the training ground next week. The Trust does not edit the content of any of our reporters views on the game, they are free to say what they think on an individual basis To be fair to the Mercury sports sub editors, I don't think they would edit criticism out of reports - they would only edit for errors, poor phraseology, amount of copy required and to highlight a better story angle - if they fancied really needling a senior reporter!!! So the copy will be Bill's, not a sanitised version.

Ultra Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 like hughes recently. he is always getting ' worked hard for the cause' or ' things didnt fall for him' kinda comments. to be fair the mercury, concerning all matters be it sporting or political, have a major sit on the fence policy. so not to offend anyone in our great city. downside of this it doesnt provoke debate between people whatever the issue is. That doesn't explain why the Mercury seems even more keen on Mandaric taking over our club than the tossers posters on here..
Babylon Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 That doesn't explain why the Mercury seems even more keen on Mandaric taking over our club than the tossers posters on here.. That's not very nice!!!
