The People's Hero Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 Hughes just doesn't fit in this division. It's just not working for him here I'm afraid.
Daggers Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 I think it highly significant that Hughes didn't start. Williams was much better in midfield. At least its a start. How could he, after the Colchester game? I reckon he only came on in an effort by Kelly to try to rebuild his confidence as it must be shattered. The poncing around on the pitch that he did will have hardly achieved much though.
Craig Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 Delighted with that. Shows that aiming to score more than the opponent works just as well, if not better, than trying to conceed less.
Thracian Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 That's where Thrach sits For the record I didn't say a word today. I was so hoarse from cheering the Academy side earlier. Wonderfully committed football from both sides, shots galore, brilliant saves, quality moves, eight attackers in and around the box, just everything that could be good about football. Beaglehome's record with young players, not just here but elsewhere is excellent and his approach the the game is so refeshing. If we change manager again, he'd get my vote. No question. But the job will doubtless go to one on the regular merry-go-round.
Matt Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 Sounds like blood might have been started coming down into his mouth at that point... not good Hope he's better now It was, He was spitting all the blood out his mouth after his nose was plugged. I'm sure he was screaming/shouting when the first started to plug it.
