Scow Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 It's just plain wrong, isn't it? I've just started a new job and it's the first time I'm due to work a Saturday for 3 years. It also means I'll be missing a lot of football from now on, but I can still make it to the home games, which is a relief. Anyone else sacrifice football for work?
cisono Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Anyone else sacrifice football for work? Yep, I work Tuesday nights....
Daggers Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Better than not working at all So, so wrong. Nothing beats not working.
cisono Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 So, so wrong. Nothing beats not working. Not working is fine, as long as your bank account does not suffer

Matt Posted 4 November 2006 Posted 4 November 2006 Fair enough i'm not forced to do the overtime and they can't stop me from leaving work unfinished but this week...EVERY day I have had big rush jobs on, i.e - Needed doing by the end of the day, I did 7.30am to 7.30pm Monday, I did a basic day Tuesday (4.30pm) because of the football, then did 6.30pm Wed, 7.30pm Thursday and on a Friday you are supposed to finish at 2pm...Not me - 8.30pm on a Friday night, then my boss wanted me in today and questioned my commitment when I said no...he said sarcastically "Your commited ain't ya" I had to bite my tounge I was pissed off as it was without him winding me up. He said "Oh its just we need some English lads to show there faces because it only seem to be the poles doing O/T at the moment" and I said have you seen the amount of hours I personally have done this week? And who cares if the poles are the only ones doing the O/T (Which in truth they are clearly not) its there choice to work till 10pm or 12am at night...noone forces them! Besides once all the English lads leave at night its clear the poles do no work! The lads I work with are great there a great laugh and that is the only reason I am not looking for another job, but I am almost on the verge of hunting for a new job!

cisono Posted 5 November 2006 Posted 5 November 2006 It could be worse, you could have forked out to watch leicester yesterday and to get there and back... plus the waste of time and sitting in the cold etc...
