The People's Hero Posted 10 November 2006 Author Posted 10 November 2006 TPH, is this for your new sportscar? It's for my new clapped out MR2.
Shum Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Jim, if you fancy changing your name, you can have my plate!!
cisono Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 POO 1 is also available for £22k! Classy. I saw G1 MP the other day on the A19. I originally misread your post. I thought the POO 1 reg was just £22. Certainly did NOT imagine it could possibly be as much as £22,995!!!! That much money for... poo?
SystonFox Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 a girl round the corner from me has LI6A C. very good plate. i want one but they are all poo.
Matt Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 I looked at Ma77y because I wanted a personalised number plate for my 18th....£40K Didn't bother in the end suprisingly
The People's Hero Posted 10 November 2006 Author Posted 10 November 2006 Is P155ANT available? You know full well it's on your motor! Tease!

Hullfox Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 I looked at Ma77y because I wanted a personalised number plate for my 18th....£40K Didn't bother in the end suprisingly £40k is a lot of money for a number plate that doesn't exist.
Hullfox Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 I got my personal number plate quite cheaply. It cost me £25 to change my name by deed poll to L127 XAG.
Janx Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 £40k is a lot of money for a number plate that doesn't exist. yeah if you're gonna lie make it a good un! Nah Im sure it was just a typo. perhaps it was MAT7Y or MAT77Y??
Janx Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 I COULD tell you mine, but my anonymity would be compromised, and the hit squads would be able to track me down...
cisono Posted 11 November 2006 Posted 11 November 2006 I got my personal number plate quite cheaply. It cost me £25 to change my name by deed poll to L127 XAG. Where? I have seen some such plates for £49, but no cheaper. On the other hand, that numberplate is as difficult to remember as my current one so... what is the point?

cisono Posted 11 November 2006 Posted 11 November 2006 I can get a numberplate with my nickname on it for £349. Good deal?
cisono Posted 11 November 2006 Posted 11 November 2006 It cost me £25 to change my name by deed poll to L127 XAG. Surely they would not allow that (numbers etc)... (hence I disregarded the name change bit in your previous message...)
Thracian Posted 11 November 2006 Posted 11 November 2006 They may be expensive but they're great fun. I've got an interest in F4CUP which is presently on a Mini Cooper which was all decked out and has just returned from The Italian Job rally where it helped to raise lots of money for Children's Homes. The rally included several laps on the Monza racecourse and the rooftop test-track in Turin used in the original Michael Caine film plus much, much more and I feel sure it will return for the anniversary rally in three years time. So, they can be terrific fun and lead to terrific adventures. The best I ever saw was on my old acquaintance Joe Bugner's gold Rolls Royce around the time of his fight with Muhammad Ali. The plate read 1 ON U which I think was pretty good for a boxer.
Janx Posted 11 November 2006 Posted 11 November 2006 Surely they would not allow that (numbers etc)... (hence I disregarded the name change bit in your previous message...) Its the pre 2001 formation of Registration plates..... in about 1960 they started reg plates like this Letter letter number letter (ABC 123 A) then in 1984 when they had run out they reversed it Letter number letter letter letter (A 123 ABC or L 127 XAG (erm 1993 or 1994 I think)) then in 2001 they started the present system
Hullfox Posted 11 November 2006 Posted 11 November 2006 Surely they would not allow that (numbers etc)... (hence I disregarded the name change bit in your previous message...) I'll get my coat.
The People's Hero Posted 13 November 2006 Author Posted 13 November 2006 How we doing in terms of funding this new plate of mine?
gatesheadfox Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 They may be expensive but they're great fun. I've got an interest in F4CUP reads like a mockney unpleasantry does it not?
The People's Hero Posted 13 November 2006 Author Posted 13 November 2006 reads like a mockney unpleasantry does it not? It's a right Fork Up!
Deathside Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 It's for my new clapped out MR2. You should deal with the insurance costs before you start looking at personalised plates Wooleybloke (Adrian Flux got the best deal for insuring my MR2) The plates I'd be interested in are not available B19 NOB D3 ATH
