cisono Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 ...or the "non nonsense, no gimmicks" approach to colds... vvv Does it actually get rid of the cold or does it just numb the pain?
Nationwider Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 Does it actually get rid of the cold or does it just numb the pain? It's difficult to tell after 6....
cisono Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 It's difficult to tell after 6.... I see. Stez might be able to monitor that throughout the drinking session though
Guest Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 I have had one cold after another. You have my full sympathy.
Master Fox Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 Lemsip's are rubbish. they don't work. I actually have to use 2 & half packets in one hot mug
Dr The Singh Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 Night nurse is best, but the downside is that it puts you to sleep!!

Daggers Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 Stop being a wuss, man. I find a daily regime of ice bath then a scalding sauna does the trick to keep me spritely.
cisono Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 Night nurse is best, but the downside is that it puts you to sleep!! You wish!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 Great Stuff. That makes me have nightmares about fighting lions or racing canal boats.
stez Posted 13 November 2006 Author Posted 13 November 2006 Lemsip's are rubbish. they don't work. I actually have to use 2 & half packets in one hot mug max strength is good, but if i'm honest beechams 3-in-1 is the boss of cold remedies. i used to love being ill as a kid, just so i could have calpol! i'm gonna try that cold bath thing later, but have warm water and bubbles and be inside instead

That will sort you out
cisono Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 i'm gonna try that cold bath thing later, but have warm water and bubbles and be inside instead I must say that warm water and bubbles sounds much more appealing than a cold bath
lookwhaticando Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 I must say that warm water and bubbles sounds much more appealing than a cold bath Especially for us lads.
Thracian Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 where this is my only friend! fricking colds. and i can't skip work this week because i've not done a full week since i got back off my jollies! Garlic's the key. Take it daily and it seems to protect you from most colds doing the rounds. Honey and lemon for the relief of so I'm told.
cisono Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 Garlic's the key. Take it daily and it seems to protect you from most colds doing the rounds. Honey and lemon for the relief of so I'm told. ginger tea is also supposed to be warming and soothing to the throat
