The People's Hero Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Is it? When does a sleigh become a sledge? Is it a size thing? Can anyone throw any light on this?
kerryh Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Isn't a sledge something you go down a hill on, whereas a sleigh is drawn by reindeer, huskies or horses!
Ricey Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Is it? When does a sleigh become a sledge? Is it a size thing? Can anyone throw any light on this? I have no light to throw. However, as the incase with many topics, it certainly IS a size thing
kerryh Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 I have no light to throw. However, as the incase with many topics, it certainly IS a size thing We once sledged down a hill on a car bonnet! It was a big one too. So what's the size of a sledge?
The People's Hero Posted 14 November 2006 Author Posted 14 November 2006 We once sledged down a hill on a car bonnet! It was a big one too. So what's the size of a sledge? I want to go down a hill on a car bonnet. One question though, was the car bonnet attached to the car at the time? Because that's cheating in my book.
kerryh Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 I want to go down a hill on a car bonnet. One question though, was the car bonnet attached to the car at the time? Because that's cheating in my book. No at the bottom of the hill (we used to sledge down) was a scrap yard - so it was just the bonnet. Oh there was also a huge fat stream at the bottom of the hill too!
The People's Hero Posted 14 November 2006 Author Posted 14 November 2006 I might write a sonnet about the bonnet and how you got on it.
The People's Hero Posted 14 November 2006 Author Posted 14 November 2006 When I was just a boy, I vowed to one day sleigh a dragon. Now I'm wondering exactly how I go about this. See I only own a sledge. Would that do? I could sledge an iguana as a kind of compromise?
Daggers Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 You could sledge a dragon I reckon. I think it involves getting the dragon drunk and then taking it back to your apartment with five other blokes. I think.

Dr The Singh Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 You could sledge a dragon I reckon. PLus what's the difference between roasting and sledging???
The People's Hero Posted 14 November 2006 Author Posted 14 November 2006 Which other blokes??? Are they on this forum. PLus what's the difference between roasting and sledging??? With sledging, you tie them up and ride down a hill on their back afterwards. With roasting, when you've finished, you roast and eat them.
Dr The Singh Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 With sledging, you tie them up and ride down a hill on their back afterwards. With roasting, when you've finished, you roast and eat them. gatesheadfox Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 i bet you feel like the wooden spoon in the porridge then? on topic, i think a sleigh is drawn by something whereas a sledge just moves downhill with nothing pulling it

Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Sledge, car bonnet, footballers, sex, wooden spoon in the porridge... You've lost me!!! I'll put you back in. Sledge, car bonnet, footballers, sex, wooden spoon in the porridge, Cisono. I think I've just stumbled into one of LWICD's dreams.

I think I've just stumbled into one of LWICD's dreams. Wow. Cannot comment for LWICD, but I reckon he'd add some Swedish blondes in the sledge. Even so... Someone would need to eat lots of cheese to manage to fit all of the above in a dream!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 ^ Andy Johnson and Josh Low were made to pull the rest of the squad round the pitches as extra training.
filbertway Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 ^ Andy Johnson and Josh Low were made to pull the rest of the squad round the pitches as extra training. Like a couple of donkeys horses.

Cannot comment for LWICD, but I reckon he'd add some Swedish blondes in the sledge. Even so... Someone would need to eat lots of cheese to manage to fit all of the above in a dream! ... and Swedes being the other. Don't worry about the cheese, I'm on it.
