davieG Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Source Preston have today announced that they have sold out their allocation of tickets for Saturday's match at the Walkers Stadium but Leicester have now offered a further 1,000 tickets for anyone wishing to make the journey down to the East Midlands.
Sods Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 This is a bit random isn't it, i know their doing well but theyve never had many come to the walkers before, seems a bit strange <_<
dandannieldanok Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 This is a bit random isn't it, i know their doing well but theyve never had many come to the walkers before, seems a bit strange <_< It is this simple fact that makes the game more popular for travelling facts. If city were second I would put much more effort in to get tickets for away games than I do now.

Joe. Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 They're doing well so I don't blame them for coming. Will be a tough game for both sides I think.

Durnerz Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 Glory Hunters, they never usually bring more than 1,000.
Floating Fox Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 what was the initial allocation? 1,500? I think they are bringing 3'500.
holly Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 wouldnt care if they only bought 500 aslong as they get an atmoshpere going, hope they really have sold there allocation and sell the extra 1,000 they requested its nice when there are lots of away fans!

Leonisco Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 Bout time they started selling their full allocation, they've been right up there the past couple of years.
riggyswfc Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 Bout time they started selling their full allocation, they've been right up there the past couple of years. They must have only been given 1,000... 'The Club had already sold out of their original allocation of tickets meaning that for the second weekend running there would be more than 1,000 fans on the road to see the Lilywhites play.' How many can your away end accommodate? We're taking 4-5k to Coventry tomorrow so should expect a similar following to Leicester in a few weeks.. Also, we're staying the night as my mate's a foxes fan (from Wakefield) - where's the best club/bar to end up?

Sadly its hard to get big gates when you have been out of the top flight for 45 years. Saldly with the way football has been marketed since the start of the Prem, a lot of peoples perceptions is that other leagues dont count. We also have Burnley, Blackpool and Blackburn almost next to us not to mention Man U and Liverpool in eas driving distance. There are far too many glory hunters these days as well.
Bert Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 Our away end holds 3.5k. So don't expect to bring any more than that.
