Brummie-FOX Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 Both would be quite good additions to the squad I think.
Milky Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 we can't afford to have another goalkeeper on the books, and wallwork isn't really the creative player that we so desperately need
SystonFox Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 wallwork is useless i think zuberbuhler has been there less than 6 months, he is awfull. calamity james in disguise.
Nationwider Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Neither, for the reasons stated above. Given our predicament (still currently pre-Milan), I don't think splashing out on wages for a 4th goalkeeper is particularly essential. We have plenty of Wallworks already.
MC Prussian Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Pascal Zuberbuhler has always been a very shaky goalkeeper, whichever club he spent time at. He could be great against top-teams, then have a terrible display against a weaker side. You could never tell where you were at with him. Compare this red line with his first few games for the Albion, where he did very well. Then he got into a slump and there's no stopping Russell Hoult now. On a sidenote, he turns 37 in two months time. Loads of experience, but way too old for our team. And his contract's running until 2008. I wouldn't buy.

He's a good shot stopper at times, he just spills everything.
Dr The Singh Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 He's a good shot stopper at times, he just spills everything. Even his beer??? No wonder he's not popular at West BRom!! Just to add, both are not what we require at the mo!
MC Prussian Posted 22 November 2006 Posted 22 November 2006 Zuberbuhler was Robson's No. 1 between the posts, but with the arrival of Mowbray, this has changed completely. Wonder where he's going out for loan. Definitely not us.
MC Prussian Posted 22 November 2006 Posted 22 November 2006 Fans forced keeper axe - Mowbray West Brom manager Tony Mowbray has blamed the Baggies fans for goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuhler's fall from favour. The Swiss international started the season as first-choice keeper but was then dropped and made available for loan after abuse by Albion supporters. Mowbray said: "Ultimately, the decision to leave him out was taken because of the negative impact from the terraces on the team rather than him. "The team needs backing, support and everyone behind it." Mowbray added: "I would like to think I stuck by Zubi for a period of time."
