Fao: Steven and Allen (and maybe Alex)

I make an equally good spag bol from Quorn mince too. Quorn is good. :)

Can Alex eat quorn? I thought his bird-impressing diet meant that he could only eat small stones and grass now

Stones contain traces of meat. Usually after being used as weapons against pigeons. ;)

A bit of a pain having to take a shovel to the driveway every teatime.

Impressing birds:

Yes to: getting in the halfs of Fosters, impressing with the impish wit, maybe a Pizza Hut?

No to: buying stuff like jewellery, embarking on weird diets etc...

My vegetarianism is at an end I'm afraid :(

A couple of weeks ago I went to two funerals in two days and all there was to eat was the usual buffet fare so I succumbed

welcome back off the wagon, shame it couldn't been in happier circumstances, such as ordering a pizza hut meat feast, stuffed crust, by mistake.

The best pizza topping means anchovy, that's what Satan loves. He eats it in a coquettish manner though.

We do the old "get a free pizza*" trick. Its worked the last couple of times we've been.

Order a large pizza, half and half, with different create-yr-own toppings on either side.

Sit back with your watery, flat Pepsi and wait for them to balls-up the order. After pointing out the mistake, you'll be offered another free of charge to go with the one you've just received. Huzzah!

*This may only work at certain north-east pizzerias

Bolognese (what we call ragu' in Italy) can ONLY be made from fresh mince meat.

(Anything else is a very poor imitation).

Well done Nationwider

I love proper Italian ragu.

I've altered mine a bit with the addition of passata. Just don't like bought sauces, unless they're fresh.

It is perfectly ok to use passata :)
