davieG Posted 13 December 2006 Share Posted 13 December 2006 Rab Kenton, P Mac, Stearman, Sheehan Low, Sylla, Weso, Welsh Fryatt, O'Grady All fit and raring to go. PS I couldn't find any suitable 'fit' players for CB so I've had to settle for the returning PM and the rightful CB of Stearman.

Thracian Posted 13 December 2006 Share Posted 13 December 2006 What's the most boring and unimaginative it could be?. Cos that's the one we'll play. I've read somewhere that Kenton is now recovered. After a whole month out he is now supposedly fit. Are we living with Michael Jackson in Neverneverland or whatever he calls it? "Good news for City," the billboards say. Why the hell is that?. Another bleedin defender. What are we looking for, a full set of soddin defenders? We need defenders like dolphins need dry land. If we get any more Defenders we'll have Landrover busting a gut to sponsor us!. Why can't the Leicester City PR people ever tell us anything exciting. "Two new attackers drafted into City line-up... Kelly pledges more than four attackers...Kelly volunteers to go dig his soddin garden..." I've no idea what Kelly's team will be but I imagine it could be driven into the ground by Wickes, along with the odd JCB and a team of Brickies. It won't be shepherded in by the Dambusters which would be my idea of fun. Kelly's got what's effectively a cushion. Not one put over his head by pissed off fans who fancied being entertained this season but the cushion of six points considering goals difference. He has no bloody excuse not to go for three points. But you can bet any money you like that Kelly will still show as much imagination as an ameoba in a bonking contest. It'll be all the usual suspects and more cover for our defence than for Wimbledon's centre court. Well, if that's so, he'll have probems. Cos whatever the new regime at Barnsley is like they'll still have the legacy of ex-manager and ex-striker Andy Richie and you can bet Barnsley will have someone who will score. They'll also doubtless have some info from down the road at Sheffield. So City will need some goals. Which also means they'll need some creativity in midfield. Fairy Godfather Mandaric would be nice but for now we'll likely have Hughes and Tiatto as the Pillars of Wisdom in our central midfield, or with Hughes one step removed, to the right wing, no less, where he's about as effective as a thumb stuck in a leaking dam. That's worse than a dose of toothache in my view and about as likely to fashion a victory as Macclesfield would be to win at Stamford Bridge. But go for it... Leicester 1 Barnsley 1 and afterwards it will be "but I thought we gave it everything and no-one downed tools. We'll redouble our efforts Monday on the training ground." I don't doubt no-one will down tools. And thank God for Viagra. But just for once it would be nice to stick our tools right up some opponents' arse by playing with some attacking purpose - not just until we score, but for 90 soddin minutes. Oh yes, the team I'd like: Logan; Stearman, McAuley, Kisnorbo, Sheehan; King, Williams, Tiatto, Hammond, Hume, Porter. Subs: Nils, Hughes, Gradel, Fryup, Dodds. lookwhaticando Posted 13 December 2006 Share Posted 13 December 2006 The team we'll see: ----------------------Henderson Stearman---- McAuley--- Kisnorbo ©--- Maybury -Hughes------ Williams----- Tiatto --------Porter ----------------Hume------- Hammond Bench: Logan, McCarthy, Fryatt plus two more. Perhaps McCarthy will jump straight back into the side, such is life.

Thracian Posted 13 December 2006 Share Posted 13 December 2006 Henderson Stearman Maybury McAuley Kisnorbo Tiatto [L] Hughes Williams Porter [R] Hume Hammond Well, well. The first person on the forum who seems to realise Porter would be as comfortable on the right wing as the left - and has played there quite often. Interesting to see the left-back position has been replaced by the Magic Roundabout though. I just wonder if you've ever seen Kisnorbo play left-back in the reserves?. I think he's followed the bertfox school of teamsheets - he's put the RB and LB followed by the CBs. So Stearman RB, Maybury LB, McAuley and Kisnorbo at CB... Only a madman would put Kisnorbo at LB. He was crap there when he played there for the first-team, wasn't he?
