JoeyB Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 O.S. Leicester City Football Club are looking for three budding Elvis impersonators or fans to take to the pitch at half-time during the FA Cup tie against Fulham. Each contestant will then be asked to sing an Elvis number - and the winner will be the performer who gets the biggest cheer from the crowd.
Leicester Lass Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 It'll never work if they're expecting the crowd to cheer
Floating Fox Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Oh god. Im taking Ear Mufflers. I prefer the relay race. <_<
Simi Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Oh god. Im taking Ear Mufflers. I prefer the relay race. <_< Agreed. Can't beat the relay!
lildave3 Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Agreed. Can't beat the relay! At least we win that
PAULCFC Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 MY GOD!Is this idea anything to do with a certain Elvis we have on our books and his Fullham past? It's just embarasing.Didn't think it could get any worse than the half team names before the match.......How wrong can i be!
Lichfieldfox. Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Our Elvis could sing 'Are you lonesome tonight' to the 100 travelling Fulham fans Kelly could sing 'Love me tender' to Milan And Josh Low to return to do a cameo 'All shook up' I'm sure there will be better ones than this but its early. Maybe the idea also came to celebrate the late greats birthday on monday.
Ric Flair Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 I'm about as crap as Elvis at football, shall I volunteer to go on at half-time and blaze a few shots over the bar and in to the crowd?
Geo V Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Wheel Neil Ruddock out and get him in the competition. All he needs is the white jumpsuit and he`ll be a nailed on winner.

Well judging from the apathy of this thread we'll do well to get any Elvis impersonators......maybe fans thought we've seen Elvis impersonators miss too many times in the hit the crossbar/beat the goalie versions. Surely 3 of you will be pissed up enough to give it ago. At least being tone deaf and musically inept lets me off the hook. Here's a link for budding singers http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/balco...1/eplyrics.html
Geo V Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 I know he isnt one of us, but surely this lad has the sort of moves and looks that would delight our female fans who are looking for a young Elvis??? http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...eoID=1146374743 Or maybe this dude??? http://www.pbase.com/vw1972bug/image/38826871
The Stig Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Not only is this idea shit but i wish with all my heart the announcer would read out the teams. Bring back the relay!
He's not bald Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Not only is this idea shit but i wish with all my heart the announcer would read out the teams. Bring back the relay! Well I think wev'e sunk as low as we can get now, doe's the half time entertainment have to match the quality of what's before and after?
Fox63 Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Maybe the club needs some input from the fans as to what sort of ideas are embarrasing and what is generally considered a good idea. Too many people seem to have a negative attitude. Personally, I think the idea is a bit piss poor and like others the relays are good. Although these could be improved if they got some lard arse fans to run against each other. Worth seeing I reckon!!
MC Prussian Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 A little less conversation, a little more action?
