Pressman 5 Scares me to death

Makin 4 Rubbish... Cant pass, tackle, head or shoot.

Keown 6 Typical Keown. Steady and done nothing really wrong.

Dublin 7 If it wasnt for that cock up for the goal, he would of been my man of the match. He looks so composed at the back. Obviously to composed as it cost us a goal but apart from that an absolute rock.

Dabizas 6.5 Good game. the best he has looked for a while.

Stewart 7 Impresses me more and more i watch him Levein is certainly getting the best from him, needs to work on his crossing though.

Gemmil 6 Steady game, didnt set the world alight, but has he ever.

Williams 8 His best game in a city shirt by far. Worked his arse off, both going forward and working back. Deserved his Goal.

Gudjonsen 6 Typical Joey game, one minute he'l be great the next crap.

Scowcroft 6 Put himself around well without really doing anything, looked better on the wing and cutting in late on.

Connelly 6 Worked his arse off. Got a bit of a rough ride, unlucky not to score and earn city a penalty.

Subs

Maybury 6 Looks a great signing. Him and De Vries seemed to change the game around.

De Vries 6 Again looks a great signing. Looks very strong and deceptivly fast. Has a good touch aswell for a big lad.

Nalis Had no time to show anything really.

Pressman 5 - Let down more than once by poor central defending

Makin 5 - Slightly better in a 532 formation but not the long term answer for this position

Stewart 7 - Acceptable performance

Dublin 4 - Even without the monumental cock up poor distribution

Keown 4 - Poor distribution, misjudged the flight of the ball on more than one occasion

Dabizas 4 - Poor defending and distribution

All three CBs were gulity of not using the midfield, time and time again Gudjonsson, Gemmill, Williams came back for the ball almost begging for it and were ignored as these 3 with their over inflated opinions of themselves hoofed it up to Connolly :w00t:

Gudjonsson 5 Let down by poor passing and inconsistant tackling, but he did look like he cared.

Gemmill 5 - Ditto

Williams 8 - Man of the match, best performance in a City shirt got all around the pitch, appears to be better in a 532 formation, let's hope it wasn't a one off and he can do it against Championship Teams

Connolly 6 - Worked hard for little reward

Scowcroft 6 - Steady game layed off some nice one twos with the mid-fielders

Subs:

Maybury 5 - Good over laps and couple of crunching tackles

De Vries 5 - Showed some good touches with head and feet

Nalis - N/A

Another pretty poor display considering the opposition, livened up a liitle with introduction of Maybury and MDV, both the crowd and the players seemed to be lifted by them, but that is one off so we will need something else for the next match.

I watched part of the first half and the full second half while I was pretending to be working in box 1!! lol

right

Pressman 6 - Takes an age to kick, shits me up

Makin 5 - He couldn't give a shit to be honest, reminds me of a certain bogtroll, Curtis

Dublin 6 - Was having an excellent game, but you can't get away with that Dubbers!!!!!

Dabizas 7 - I thought he was excellent.

Keown 6 - Was allright.

Stewart 7 - Again excellent, forward play was very, very good

Gudjonnson 5 - tried to be clever and didnt do much

Gemmil 6 - What he did he did well, I WANT MORE THOUGH!!

Williams 9 - His performance was almost perfect, the best performance I've seen this season from him. Some great tackles and great touches, should've had two!!

Connolly 6 - Unlucky again, seems to be a bit less physical of late and it's doing him no favours

Scowcroft 5 - Was he on???

I missed bits and bobs, however I thought it was a good performance. We lapsed a couple of times I don't see how we didnt win to be honest, we lacked a bit of cutting edge.

Posted

Pressman 5- Didn't make any outstanding saves but didn't make any amazing bloomers either. Does take an age to kick the ball and he nearly played one straight down the middle of the park, luckilly Williams was there. Wasn't at fault for either goal imo and I hope he's gained a bit of confidence back which he obviously lost when he was dropped after his last couple of mistakes at Crewe and at home to Sunderland.

Makin 4- Impressed me against QPR after a very poor game at Sheffield United and at home to Reading but he resorted to his old ways again today. Didn't get forward enough and lacked any enthusiasm to help his team mates defensively too. The sooner he leaves this club the better.

Stewart 7- Starting to consistently put the effort in and shine on the pitch. He gives me hope that we can build a good, younger team in the not too distant future. Still got a long way to go until he's the finished article though.

Dublin 5- Another average home performance by Dion. He seems to show up away and fall asleep at home. His error would have been highlighted even more if we hadn't grabbed an equaliser.

Keown 5- I still fail to see why some of our fans treat him like he's a god. He didn't look up for it today and he really does fail to inspire me as a a fan. He doesn't give me the impression that he's bothered about the club in the slightest except we're paying him his final wage as a professional footballer. That clench of the fist that's aimed towards the fans when we win a game might be because he has a win bonus in his contract. It wouldn't surprise me.

Dabizas 6- Didn't do anything any better than his fellow centre backs but he didn't make any mistakes that I can remember and if he did he was wiling to chase back to rectify them.

Gudjonsson 4- After getting home 20 minutes into the Plymouth game and seeing how well his brother was doing, I really wished that we had him instead. Lacks any of the skills a good midfielder needs and having read his profile on the OS the other day, Micky Adams didn't judge him very well at all.

Gemmill 3.5- Tempted to give him 3 but that does seem a bit too harsh. I blame him equally for their second goal, I don't like his style of play and I just hope Levein doesn't give him another short term contract. Even though Nalis has looked a little jaded of late it has to be him and Williams starting from now on. Surely?!

Williams 7- His first touch was a little poor but he is now starting to show us all how well he can play. Not only the goal but his delivery from freekicks too. I think he likes the cup competitions as he played very well against Prestion too in the Carling Cup.

Connolly 6.5- Tried but at times I feel sorry for him. He gets poor sevice and a lot of the time he's the one who's serving others. Hopefully in time we'll start to play a way that suits his game too.

Scowcroft 4- He looked like someone on their way out/who wants to leave. His hold up play has been poor of late and now de Vries is on the scene I can't see what role he can play for us. Definitely not out wide on the left.

Subs:

Maybury 7- Got forward well. Delivered well. Made Makin's performance look even worse (if that's possible). Looks like he'll be a good signing.

De Vries 5- Didn't do a lot but seemed like he could hold up the ball very well. Levein says he's still unfit which may be a reason for the lacklustre showing.

Nalis 5- Ran round. That's all he had time for. Looked better than Gudjonsson and Gemmill though which isn't hard.

Disappointed with the performance but glad we came away with a replay. Very sad when you're happy with a replay against a team so far below you. At least it wasn't another Wycombe though.

Pressman 5 – Made one decent save in the first half when one of their players went through one on one - His kicking/distribution was shite.

Makin 3 - Bloody awful – He can neither attack nor defend very well.

Keown 6 – Solid enough performance, won most things in the air and did what was required of him.

Dabizas 5 – Seems to duck out of too many challenges, especially headers. Distribution was woeful too.

Dublin 6 – Defended well for the main part, but he always seems to mess something up. I’ve noticed he tends to slice the ball out of play far too much, despite no pressure on him. He was a #### twat for their goal, too casual.

Stewart 6 – Another good performance, seems to be adapting to left wing back comfortably.

Gemmill 4 – Too sloooooooooow, off the pace, lost too many 50/50’s in midfield. When is his contract up?

Gudjonsson 5 – A better game than usual. His passing was much better, but there are too many occasions where he chooses the wrong option. Fairly competitive in midfield.

Williams 7* - MOM. He showed some lovely touches in midfield and got forward well, as illustrated by the goal. It seemed that he was more comfortable in taking responsibility on the ball in a 3 man midfield.

Connolly 6 – Movement was good, used the flanks well. Wish he was in the box more, but the useless wankers around him don’t seem capable of creating much.

Scowcroft 4 – Awful for a lot of the game, but did show some nice touches and link up play on some occasions. Go to Norwich, please…

Subs:

De Vries 5 – Showed some strength and held up the ball well when he could.

Maybury 5 – Better than Makin, which was not hard. Was forced to lump the ball in to the area when he came forward as no one offered any support down the right flank.

Nalis 5 – Didn’t really have an effect, but did try to get forward in the remaining minutes.

Pressman - 5 - Not commanding enough in his area as we know. Kicking was not great and took his time a bit too much at times. Made a good save in the first half though, got us out of the shit. No real chance with either goal.

Makin - 4 - Crap. Gets sold by a dummie so easily and teams are able to cross the ball with ease. When in possession in the final third, he seems lacking in any ideas of what to do. Pretty much a waste of space.

Dublin - 6 - Solid enough, won most headers. Treis to do too much at times in dangerous areas, as was seen for their second goal.

Dabizas - 6 - Seemed solid, much better player when alongside commanding centre halves.

Keown - 6 - Defended well and organised well too. Weak in the air though really and lost a fair few headers.

Stewart - 7 - Had quite a lot of joy going forward, found space. Just needs to work on his crossing a bit. Defensively solid, again.

Gemmill - 5 - To slow. A better player in a 3 as his lack of pace isn't exposed. He retains the ball well, but never passes anywhere but sideways. And please have a pop if you are 20 yards out!!

Williams - 8 - Some good passing and showed a fair bit of energy. Work rate seemed good and took his goal well, celebrated like he was well up for it too :D

Gudjonsson - 6 - Broke up a fair few attacks well, something he should concentrate on doing I think. He is a good player when he does the simple things; breaking up attacks and then passing short. Tried to play a few elaborate passes again though and he really hasn't got the ability to do so.

Scowcroft - 4 - Didn't win as much as he should in the air and his movement was poor. Seems uninterested now and it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he left.

Connolly - 7 - Showed good vision and has good feet. Linked up well and brought other people into the game. Did very well for our second. Work rate was high as always.

Subs:

Maybury - 7 - Got forward well and also looked solid defensively. Has some quality about him, a breath of fresh air after watching Makin :D

de Vries - 7 - Cracking touch on him and seemed very strong. Some good bits of show boating too :P:D

Nalis - 6 - Didn't have much time to make a mark on the game really, but he did what he needed to do quite well.

I don't see the point in picking up on someone elses ratings if you don't put your own down. (Providing you went to the game)

Any more guys? I'm sure more of you must have gone judging by people who have left comments but not rated. Lets get as many down as we can and I'll announce the results tonight.
