Manwell Pablo Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Sadly I made it up Manwell. I knew it was too good to be true.
Smudge Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Hondas have incredibly reliable engines, If you want trouble free motoring, a Honda or Toyota will not only give you trouble free motoring but will maintain their value for resale. .

Turtles Head Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Ive got an escort too, good cars. Unfortunately it is currently off the road. Lent it to my elder brother for a few weeks. On the way back(M1, Xmas Eve) the clutch suddenly ceased to work. He had to pay £200 callout and tow back to St Albans, as a non AA member. And got quoted £200 for a new clutch. Ouch Loving the public transport. You cant beat the 118

You cant beat the 118 yeah brilliant! fords cheap to run and cheap parts..... for one reason, you have to change em as often as your socks...that said the new models with Zetec engines are pretty good!

Matt Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 get a volkswagen, my polo is ace Only cool people drive VW Polo's In your thread a few weeks ago I asked what was up with your Polo, but you couldn't have seen it? I want a Golf, but for the moment i'll settle for my poormans Golf the Polo
Foxed Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Polo's are the way to go 2 members of my family have had Fiats and they've been more trouble than other cars we've had. The Clio was reliable and my sister's getting another one (getting rid of a Fiat to get it ) Cisono, to be fair, my favourite car ever is a Fiat Couple 20V Turbo so I can't really argue. However...I don't own one as my old flatmate had one and he spent shed loads getting it fixed and ages waiting for parts from Italy. Good point about getting a fairly 'common' car e.g. Fords, cos parts are cheaper, more quickly sourced and easy to get sorted. I'm looking up towards a Golf too!
JoeyB Posted 16 January 2007 Author Posted 16 January 2007 defo looking at a corsa or 206 now there awsome cars imho and low insurance groups
Janx Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Sadly you are wrong and clearly havent taken the advice (a lot of it good) on here.... good luck, you probably may well be ok, just take care who you buy it from and check it out properly. Some of these look good!
cisono Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 I've decided to keep my current car for the time being. It failed its MOT today, but my mechanic reckons it should be only 250 pounds or so to make it roadworthy...
