Thracian Posted 15 January 2007 Share Posted 15 January 2007 From the OS: "Iain Hume has been named in the Championship team of the week following his goalscoring exploits against Colchester last weekend. The City striker put in a lively performance in attack for the Foxes at Layer Road - and gave Rob Kelly's side the lead through a well-taken strike in the 19th minute. Other players included in the XI include West Brom's Kevin Phillips and Crystal Palace's Jobi McAnuff." ============== Well earned honour for Hume, who, despite his recent goal famine has been one of the season's successes. Even on a bad day it's hard to fault his effort and commitment.

Stuliasz Posted 15 January 2007 Share Posted 15 January 2007 Hume since he signed has been one of our best technical players but as we know that doesn't always necessarily count for much. Fortunately he is one of the players who always shows 100% effort and commitment on the pitch whether he is going through a good or bad patch in terms of scoring. Keep it up Humey. The People's Hero Posted 15 January 2007 Share Posted 15 January 2007 In a time which was really firing, I think Hume would be pretty unstoppable to be hoenst.

Quite surprised really, was he in the CCC team of the week when he was banging them in for fun earlier in the season - around the time of Southampton @ the Walkers, for example?
