stez Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 oh yeah i once met franck rolling in a petrol station he had pontus kaamark in his car too luckily i had a programme in my car so i got him to sign it for me
foxesfan69 Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 I once met good old Stevie Walsh in Bradgate park .
emmalcfc Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Was in Spain when MON was here, when we walked past this bar in our Leicester shirts, and someone shouted something like "Leicester over here", turned around, and it was Steve Walsh. Can't believe we nearly walked past him We started talking to him for a while, and he said he felt he could take over from MON. A couple of days later we went to this water park, and we saw Walsh again. We also saw Mark Robins there. And then we went to Gibraltar for a day trip, and we saw someone wearing a Leicester shirt, so we went and spoke to them. It turned out to be Lawrie Dudfield who was staying in the same hotel as us.
Muz Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 I met Rui Costa on a beach in Villamoura , Portugal everyone was crowding round whilst he preformed tricks.I got his autograph and a picture Saw Andy Townsend and Chris Kamara that holiday aswell
rotherhamfox Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Seen and met various leicester players over the years, most memorable being Lennon, as he couldnt understand what i said, yorkshire accent seemed to somewhat confuse him. Another time is when i went to watch City train, went with my youngest brother Rory. Rory had taken his note pad for autographs but not being a big football fan he turned his attention to making sketches of the players, so we decided to call Sav over after the session to view Rory's work, he was none too pleased as he felt there was too little hair on display.
Wellman Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Me and my family have had a drink with God himself before. Izzet It was when he first moved to City and was staying in the Holiday Inn in St Nicolas near the ground. Was a proper legend, loved him since then!!
Louise Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Didn't speak to him as he was kinda busy but I once saw Muzz getting a parking ticket as he'd parked his posh car at the bus stop outside the Shires. Footballers ay, think they can get away with everything.
Little Nicky Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 I couldn't explain the amount of players Ive met/seen, as I'd be here all day! I've met MON at my church as its just over the road from the training ground and he popped in one saturday at an easter service when he was here with Phil Gilchist no less! I've also seen many of our past managers this season at the managers dinner at the walkers(as I work there). I saw Muzzy sitting in the window of the bakers round the corner from my house about 3 years ago with his flash car parked outside, I just stood there gobsmacked and he waved! The most impressive one though was before the forest game this season where I happened to be rota'd on to do the players' dinner before they travelled up to notts! So I met all the players again there, as well as Levein, seems a nice bloke! Oh and today at work I saw Mark DeVries whilst he was showing Patrick Kisnorbo around the stadium! I love working at the Walkers, and living next to the training ground \m/ rock on
Collymore Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 Yea, well... bet none of you have had your arm twisted behind your back by theo zagorakis!!! deb man was there and he will back me up when i say it was a man possesed he took my arm and twisted my arm so hard it made me cry all i asked was why stuart campbell and kaamark were arriving together thats the gods honest truth
Guest Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 I have never met any City players, and any stories linking me with players past or present are unfounded and untrue.
Ric Flair Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 I've met alot of Leicester players over the years. After the Palace play-off final I met the whole team and I asked Brian Carey what it was like to be a crap footballer playing in a good team and he said '****ing marvelous' I also told Heskey not to go to Liverpool, about 5 years later he finally did!! I've also met Micky Adams and Scowcroft within the past year or so. One was boring, one was quite funny but strange, you do the maths.
Teeno Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 I met Spencer Prior in Melton's safeways. He had a trolly full of booze I also used to regularly speak to Peter Taylor when Will was in the accademy, he is a well nice bloke and had no end of time for me aswell.
Jonesy_rules Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 Nearly got ran over by Muzz a few months ago met walsh on numerous occassions! also matty elliott at the fair, was on the same ride as him, he was at the carriage next to me! Most memorable one tho will have to be when my aunt was friends with Matt Jones (due to himing visiting Life alot and her working there / being ass.manager) she arranged for a birthday treat for me to have a tour round filbo, with him as the tour guide, also got a signed photo, calendar, with other gifts including a shirt with the name Jones and 7 on the back! All this is also the reason behind my screen name!
Bert Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 I've had a drink with Muzzy in the Crow's Nest even tho he was wasted it was awesome speakin to him(this was the day after he scored his first goal for brum) everyone was crowdin him. Mike whitlow used to live on the same street as me and i went knockin on his door for his autograph, i think thats why he left us!! and my last one is when we were playin Charlton(the Taylor/ Bassett/Adams season) and Ian Walker came out holdin these goalie gloves, which i cheekily asked for!! he signed them up and gave them to me, and they are now sittin proudly on my bedroom shelf!!
discojoe Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 just before savo left i was down jimmy deans and who shud walk in but robbie savage i was talkin to him askin if he was leavin and he said he loved lcfc abd never wanted to leave . The next thing u know he is wearing a bcfc shirt (bloody asshole) still got a double vodka and red bull out of him tho haha
Leicester_Mad Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 When i was a Leicester Mascot at Stamford Bridge in 2000 i obv met all the players, and all the Chelsea ones. Wise was still there captain so if i had known what a willy puller he was going to be <_< met the likes of Zola, Di Matteo etc. which was great

Solihullfox Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 Showing my age now. Used to have a beer or two with Shilts up at The Wheatsheaf in Woodhouse Eaves (he was at the Sheepshaggers at the time, god only knows how he could train the next day). He lived in the village and his sons played footy with us (Mike and Sam) Also had a mate who congratulated Ian Wilson on his finishing when we saw him at The Swinging Sporran in Oadby following the semi final F.A.Cup v Spurs in 1981. For those not old enough it was an own goal and I thought he was going to kill my mate, timing eh. Many others that may be trotted out in time.
Ash Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 I've met alot of players, but the i'd say Billy McKinley was the nicest guy i've met ..Alway's made conversation with you and seemed to care about the fans
