By bringing in the best, our players can learn from them, then give English players a level to achieve. To compete at the highest level, you have to play with, and against, the best.

There should be a limit - three/four to a team which would ensure that, while genuinely high quality foreigners can play on a big stage it is not at the expense of our own best talent.

English players who plead it's unfair because they're not good enough to play at the top levels in this country? How is it unfair, if you were good enough, you'd earn top whack and probably win honours. As it is, you find your level, whether it be down the leagues here, abroad in Europe or wherever the fu ck you like.
