Ajax Treesdown Posted 14 February 2007 Posted 14 February 2007 Denilson will be quality in a couple more years. He is 19 this weekend.
lookwhaticando Posted 14 February 2007 Posted 14 February 2007 Makes Gilberto and Baptista less embarressed? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToXNgvs3Esc They were hopeless. If it went to penalties, Arsenal would have been dumped by 5 clear goals.
Simi Posted 14 February 2007 Posted 14 February 2007 They missed Davies. Very true. As they said at half time it made Anelka do a job he didn't want to do.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 February 2007 Author Posted 15 February 2007 I don't understand why any one who calls themeselve a football fan, would want to see ****ing Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup fifth round instead of Arsenal (Bolton fans aside of course). Entertaining team, or boring set piece team.

lildave3 Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 Very true. As they said at half time it made Anelka do a job he didn't want to do. Anelka is different class. He's improved so much in terms of awareness and professionalism since his time at Arsenal/Man City.

Always happens, should of been sent for his challenge leading to Arsenals second goal as well. Talk about denying a goal scoreing oppurtunity.

It was only Adebuywhore - and he'd already managed to miss one open goal.

dandannieldanok Posted 15 February 2007 Posted 15 February 2007 He may have missed an open goal but IMO Adebayor was another quality signing from overseas by Wenger. The impact he had against Wigan and the contribution last night was excellent.
Nationwider Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Apart from Us, Arsenal are the best thing about Football at the moment... I do like my 'Hoof', it has to be said - it's the muddy, smelly undercarriage of that loveable Labrador we call English football. But I can always find some time for some Sexyball Wenger-style.

To me, Bolton are a typical english team, that is why so many people have warmed to them i think.
lookwhaticando Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 To me, Bolton are a typical english team, that is why so many people have warmed to them i think. You're right on the first count... quite wrong on the second, judging by the views expressed by most on here. I fail to see what's so wrong about liking clubs like Bolton and even the likes of Sheffield United. They stick to what they're traditionally good at, and it seems to be doing the trick at the minute. It's gritty football, but up in places like Bolton, the conditions favour grittiness over fanciness. That's why Arsenal failed to seriously trouble Sheffield United at Bram. Lane. It's why they got tonked 3-1 at the Reebok. Against those types of teams in rough conditions, Arsenal's silky football will come undone. What's worse is, they occasionally try the long ball approach themselves, and it's painful to watch because they just don't know what they're doing.
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Who needs ARSEnal? Lucky gits. It'll all work out for the usual suspects. *Yawns*

Talk about denying a goal scoreing oppurtunity. He`ll move on once his brothers need a few more pounds for there next venture. Arsenal`s football at times is absolute mesmeric and the lucky Gooners have no doubt got succesful times ahead when some of these younger lads mature. I always knew Dennilson would be a quality player as my football bible, Championship manager 06/07 clearly states him to be a wonderkid ! As for Bolton, it doesnt matter if Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Kaka, Robinho and Rooney were playing for them, they`ll always be boring, one dimensional Northern monkeys. There is something about the club that just oozes boredom. Its not Big Sams fault because he has tried his best by bringing in over the hill world beaters and quality misfits down the years but still they cant shake that boring verdict! One thing I will say to Big Sam is thanks for bringing us Jay Jay Okocha to the Premiership as he is one of my fav players over the last 10 years. I was just gutted as a football fan he didnt end up at someone like Liverpool.

Leonisco Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Cracking game, thought it was a brilliant advert for FA Cup football. I have to admit I cheered when Bolton scored that last-minute *ahem* equaliser. Ljungberg's finish was pure class.

Asha Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 At least the peno misses weren't as bad as this...
