Joe. Posted 17 February 2007 Share Posted 17 February 2007 Don't forget we went up 3 places and are 8 points away from the relegation zone and 16 points from the play-offs (we could possibly make it, not impossible) and stearman came close to making it 4-0 when he got brought on too. And if we beat Burnley we could go 11th if other results go our way!! Joe you never let us down mate...
JoeyB Posted 17 February 2007 Share Posted 17 February 2007 Joe you never let us down mate... well its not impossible just look at palace a few years back they went from relegation zone (at christmas) to win the play offs. and iirc they were about where we were now when they did it

We can't do it.

Simon Posted 17 February 2007 Share Posted 17 February 2007 First half an hour was the best I've seen us play for a long time- Johno must've had a nose bleed getting that far up the pitch! The whole team was fantastic for that first half. But lets not get carried away, in the second half we reverted to type and got too deep again, had it not been for Hendo and his back four then things might have been different. Our current central midfield will struggle to cope with better sides (e.g. West Brom) so I hope that one of our signings this week will be a midfielder. Also N Block was fantastic; the atmosphere, especially in the first half was excellent- my voice is hoarse! Was gonna ask though, why did the drum get taken away? I saw an LCFC official walking down the aisle with the drum saying something to a fan about coin throwing?
MC Prussian Posted 17 February 2007 Share Posted 17 February 2007 20th December 2003 21st Feb 2004 9th april 04 No chance we'll pull off a finish like Crystal Palace did in 2002/03. Although the thought of it is quite tempting...
Bryn Posted 17 February 2007 Share Posted 17 February 2007 MILAN, IS A LEICESTER FAN! Just got back up to Hull, cracking first half, I chose the right game to get down to didn't I! Shame about the second half but they earned their payslips in the first half. Thought the midfield let us down in the second half, particularly Jarrett, saw a lot of the ball but didn't really know what to do with it, but I'll put that down to the fact that they're still all getting used to each other. McCauley- man of the match, brilliant performance again. Good to see the Horse score twice. Plenty of noise down our end of the stadium as well, of course block N singing but I was in K which seemed to be noisy as well. The Covscum shut the fook up didn't they? ****s, did you hear them during the minutes (well, wasn't a minute was it?) silence, carrying on? Someone shouted "Shut up you ****s" and they got all cocky. But we sent them back up the M69 with their tail between their legs.
Guest Gist Posted 17 February 2007 Share Posted 17 February 2007 Great Result today. We seem to have a good shape now with the loan signings coming in, no one playing out of position seems to be really helping us.

OzFox311 Posted 17 February 2007 Share Posted 17 February 2007 Committed, well drilled, high intensity for the first half, smarts in the second... courage... what else can I say but WHERE HAS THAT BEEN... That was the Leicester City I like to see... I knew Horse would have a good game, he looked like doing it last game... and it seems that now that things are settled, the side is starting to concentrate on football and keeping spots for next season. They looked strong, they played as a team and never stopped trying, ok it was against Coventry, but if they can keep playing like that, the future with Milan is looking bright, add the loan signings and transfers we can get with money, and really the sky is the limit. I am a proud Leicester fan today... that is more like it... and lets hope it can continue, WELL DONE BOYS ON A GOOD PERFORMANCE.. :D And to those who were calling relegation here a few weeks back... no more bringing up the thread please... we should look up not down now... P.S. To Candid Camera's comments... why should he be assessing it... we have money now, may as well get two and see how they go.... we should be looking to improve, not stay stagnant... Phlashman Posted 17 February 2007 Share Posted 17 February 2007 Great day out today, there was a real buzz (obviously). First time in a long time the chat hasn't been about which players are crap and should be subbed off ASAP. A few more matches and Jarrett, Yeates and Horseface really gel with the rest of the team, there was quite a few times when they wouldn't link up right and lost possession. The Cov fans were scumbags, not respecting a silience, they deserved to get thrashed. Hopefully they get Dowie on Monday and he can doom them to religation too, surely he stands a chance of being the first manager to get two clubs religated in a single season? Playoffs... no. But if we string together a little run of say 5 or 6 wins I'm sure that no might turn into a maybe.
FilboFox Posted 18 February 2007 Share Posted 18 February 2007 Hooray!! Leicester up to 14th in the league for now with the prospect of possibly moving up to 11th if we keep winning!
