James. Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Good bit of football tonight, I'll be watching Lille vs Man United while keeping an ear/eye on the Leicester action. But with the return of decent European football is anyone ready to stick their neck out and predict this year's winner? I honestly think United are a good bet for at least the semi finals and if they can maintain their current form I can see them winning it. For a dark horse Lyon might surprise some.

Simi Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 I always fancy Lyon to do well. Very underated side I wouldn't be surprised if they got to the semis this year.
Brainy Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Lyon v Man Utd Final Man Utd to win in extra time
James. Posted 20 February 2007 Author Posted 20 February 2007 Crowd trouble in Lille. Here we go again.
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Lyon v Man Utd Final Man Utd to win in extra time Trouble there already, looks like Ze French are trying to kick ze fences down. EDIT: Sorry, looks like it's Ze Man Ure fans.
Cobbo Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Spider Kalac in goal for AC Milan at Celtic Park
lildave3 Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Well Real are doing well, 3-1 up v Bayern. Difficult to choose a winner, so many top sides still involved.
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Were the Man U fans kicking off again at half time or was that just a replay?
Brainy Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Just a replay I think, I heard them talking about it.. but once again, i was multi-tasking So you have another chance to prove me wrong
Joe. Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Been flicking through all the games and the only one worth watching is Real madrid v Bayern Munich. All the others are great if you're a bit tired and can't get to sleep... :pinch:
MC Prussian Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Well Real are doing well, 3-1 up v Bayern. Difficult to choose a winner, so many top sides still involved. Gay Bayern OUT!!!
MC Prussian Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 What a cheap goal for Bayern... Real player fouled inside the box, should've been a free-kick.
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 What a cheap goal for Bayern... Real player fouled inside the box, should've been a free-kick. Sets up the return league nicely though.
MC Prussian Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 If I had the choice between Bayern or Real, I would go for the referee.
lildave3 Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Will Lille get kicked out because of all this fan trouble? Just been speaking to a Man U fan and he said they were throwing missiles
Milky Posted 20 February 2007 Posted 20 February 2007 Will Lille get kicked out because of all this fan trouble? Just been speaking to a Man U fan and he said they were throwing missiles I can't belive nobody has mentioned the lille players being ordered to walk off the pitch after the goal. What an absolute discrace to the game that was. It was that walk off that sparked all the missiles.

What an absolute discrace to the game that was. It was that walk off that sparked all the missiles. They were arguing over Giggs' goal, because their wall was not yet placed properly. They then stormed towards the referee, complaining. Shit happens.

What an absolute discrace to the game that was. It was that walk off that sparked all the missiles. I wondered what was going on there. I Missed the first few minutes of it. All I saw were players standing all over the place.
Geo V Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 It was quality to see the CL back but I was busy watching the Real Madrid-Bayern game which was a corker. Becks was flying yesterday and it proves what prats that McClaren and Capello have been to drop him from there squads. The fans chanting Becks name was great to here from one of our own playing abroad. BTW he set up two of the three goals and hit the bar from a free-kick (great tip onto the bar by old man Kahn). The funniest bit of teh night was Sir Alex pushing Gary Neville and screaming at him to get back on the pitch when the Lille players started walking off. Seeing Neville square upto him for a split second and then crap himself and back down was fantastic telly .

Saw the highlights Beckham was looking very good, Shame he's decided to go to LA and effectively end his career. Some cracking ties tonight, Liverpool Barcelona being probabley the pick of the bunch (which is fortunate as I bet it's the only game on in every pub outside of West London) Inter Valencia and Roma Lyon both look very tasty as well.
MC Prussian Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Barcelona 1-0 Liverpool Nice cross from Zambrotta and Deco's header goes right into the bottom right corner. Very entertaining game so far.
lookwhaticando Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Porto lead Chelski 1-0 John Terry has gone off injured not even 20 minutes in. Now it's 1-1 apparently... chinka 'chenko scored. woo. What's that... his second of the season?
MC Prussian Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 Valdez' save behind the line... Liverpool get a cheap & funny equalizer...
