next time they're back i'll be better prepared, tripod in hand and the balls to get closer and say WHAT ARE YOU DOING/

but yes, i'm pretty sure they're druids.

Interesting powers the ancient Druids had by reputation. Very strong on the Isle of Anglesey.

F rederick Covins, a friend of mine, wrote a book called "The Breaking Sword" which did quite well and told of the Druidan influence on British tribes caught up in fighting the occupying Romans at the time of Boedicca, Queen of the Iceni and Caratacus.

Much of the book centred around the expert charioteers of the British Camp that was established at that time in the Malven Hills, not far from my friend's home. The Druids had much power through their great medicinal, prophetic and psychological abilities and Druid priests were much feared.

although they're fiction, i highly recommend bernard cornwells' king arthur trilogy here they give an interesting account of the demise of the druids and rise of christianity, as well as revealing the fear people had for druids and their 'powers'
