Manwell Pablo Posted 2 March 2007 Share Posted 2 March 2007 And they sure taught him a lesson for it. McCarthy was sent off in a later game. Kisnorbo was sent off in a later game. Horsfield whacked someone across the head only recently. But it was only Sheehan got pilloried and only Sheehan who got exiled. And ironically, Leicester played some decent football that day. As they did against Sheffield Wednesday at home in the previous League match he played. In fact that was the last time we beat Sheffield Wednesday - and by 2-0. Thrashed em really. We've never looked like beating them since. How times change. I doubt he'll get sent off again in a hurry. Well, there was the fact that he was absloute garbage before getting sent off as well. That may have played some part
Thracian Posted 2 March 2007 Share Posted 2 March 2007 Well, there was the fact that he was absloute garbage before getting sent off as well. That may have played some part We've had this out before so I won't labour the point again - but McCarthy's been indifferent most of this season, not just in parts of a single game. Southend United FC Posted 2 March 2007 Author Share Posted 2 March 2007 That's us Hopefully our new lad Foran will start up front with Eastwood. We recently signed him from Motherwell and he looks to be the busines.J.C.R is a little bit hit and miss but when he is on fire he is almost unstoppable.I am also concerned about our defence but we will have to wait and see.Don't forget to try the chippy near the ground. www.southend.vitalfootball.co.uk I think everyones begging Tilson to drop Bradders and give Foran a start up front with Freddy. As for the leicester lads coming down for the weekend, you're spoilt for choice of things to do. Plenty of clubs (Bakers Bar and Mayhem I recommend), Bars, Pubs and the two casinos (westcliff casino over rendezvous casino). The seafront is like something from vegas n you also got the adventure island theme park (brand new rollarcoaster you should try).
lookwhaticando Posted 2 March 2007 Share Posted 2 March 2007 It's always nice to see opposition fans pop in for a sensible chat about things. Sure as hell beats the wankers from Plymouth who dropped in for a slagging match only. Before and after the match...

London_Fox Posted 3 March 2007 Share Posted 3 March 2007 Nights out in Southend...good times. If you want somewhere a bit nicer then its Bakers Bar, stay away from Talk nightclub if you're over 18. Westcliff Casino is great fun but I'm not sure they'll let you in with a Hoody/football shirt/trainers unless they've relaxed the rules recently. Great breakfast all along the seafront. Boy racers along the sea front...ugh! It's a bit like Vegas but a bit more like Blackpool...

Sure as hell beats the wankers from Plymouth who dropped in for a slagging match only. Before and after the match... I was scared after they showed all the fearsome "green 'n' white barmy army" video links to youtube. These Southend fans seem nice though, I might come and say hello on your forums.
