canada are fighting back nicely. They won't win, but it's a good little comeback.

120 to win from 16 overs. This isn't very convincing from england.

i cant get into cricket yet its the wrong time of year.. im a massive cricket fan but arsenal everton was way more entertaining that england v canada.,,

but i cant wait for the 20/20s at grace road this year :)

We let Canada score 228 runs and get withint 51 of ours!

We definitely won't win this. There's too many teams who are so much better than us.

we don't have the bowling attack.

the Kenya game could be tense, because they aren't all that bad.

Solid win for England but still it was dissapointing not to bowl out the Canadians and to also post at least 300 runs batting first. The Aussies showed how to rip these minnows apart after hammering the Dutch, who probably didnt have two 40yos and three 38yos like Canada!

Indeed can't say I'm looking forward to it

Im not either but what I will say for the England cricket team is that they are slow starters and proved that in Australia before coming good to win the one-dayers when on Betfair you could have got odds of about 220/1 I think it was at one stage to win the event.

Lets hope that we have started slowly and will gradually get better and peak at the right time.

Poor display from England yesterday. They lack a killer-edge in the bowling department, and dropping Freddie certainly didn't help them rip through Canada. Still, they got the job done and registered a win. All we need to do now is raise our game and beat Kenya. Off to the Super Eights we march.. Where we'll get hammered in most, if not all, of the games.:P

that 20 stone legend from bermuda took a brilliant catch today. India were 3 for 1, and the celebrations were hilarious! the bermudans were running all over the place lol

My sweepstake chances are over then. World record defeat aswell !

I was first out with Pakistan!

The good news is that Kenya looked shocking against New Zealand yesterday, especially the bowlers so I am alot more confident of us beating them on Saturday.

Famous last words.........

could be worst you could have been thrashed by holland. :(

Canada are currently putting up a good fight against NZ

That bloke who scored a fast hundred for Canada (Davison??) was going beserl early doors and took NZ apart but the wheels came off when he was out for 50something. They went from 8 an over to about 5 in quick time. A wasted opportunity me thinks.

Gutted to hear tonight that Englands game is on the same day that the South Africans play Australia as thats a game I wanted to watch. Potentially the final. Still, we must back England and come good!

England are now in the Super 8s and their star batsman, Kevin Pietersen, is top of the World Rankings and has an average of 60.50 so far in the World Cup.

My sweepstake team, India, are now out of the tournament with Bangladesh having beaten Bermuda last night and slamming the door shut on us.

Indeed, we start against the paddys on Friday I believe, they'll be up for that one :D.

Ahh yes, they will be well up for that one. I'm sure they'll be full of confidence having surpassed all expectations in actually reaching the Super 8 stage, and they'll also be keen to avenge the defeat they suffered the last time we played them. Ed Joyce is also going to come in for some stick, having played for Ireland until very recently. England should be fired up, going in on the back of a win and knowing they have the quality to dispose of Ireland fairly easily if they apply themselves. It'll enable them to grow in confidence and build some momentum should they win.

Obviously I want England to win it, but if Ireland win ( :o ) I won't be too disappointed as it'll still mean I can celebrate it! :D:P
