I've just checked out wikipedia on red heads and it quotes this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_hair They are also found by many as sexually-attractive, explaining their growing presence is society. Hope for me yet!!

Why is that... are you an orangutan? Or perhaps a fox? red hair can be found in other mammalian species such as orangutans, squirrels, and highland cattle. Red hair or fur can be found in some breeds of dog and cat, and certain species of fox and deer.
