Brainy Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 -After a couple of good results- Good result Leeds. Won't be long before we're beating the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd again!
Matt Posted 7 April 2007 Author Posted 7 April 2007 Good result Leeds. Won't be long before we're beating the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd again! Who said that? Some Leeds inbred?
Brainy Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Some idiot on BBC teletext page 359 a couple of days ago. Fickle.
Matt Posted 7 April 2007 Author Posted 7 April 2007 Some idiot on BBC teletext page 359 a couple of days ago. Fickle. But c'mon literally a few weeks ago we were heading for the playoffs this season if you believed some of the stuff your read on here, now were going down! And it all changed from heading for the playoffs to relegation in literally a matter of days!
Brainy Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 I know but every club has those fans. Fans like you and me can hopefully realise that WE are not safe until we are mathematically safe.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 That's all you feckers who keep saying "oooh I can see them escaping :( " You lot make me sick.
Daggers Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 I don't see them going down this season - but they are going to need a large injection of cash (that was not there at the beginning of this season) to fill a squad with competitive players. I can't see them performing this trick again unless they do...
Flynny Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 That's all you feckers who keep saying "oooh I can see them escaping" That'd be me then. Sorry. They actually are too good to go down, though. Possibly. I'd hope that Plymouth are nicely softened up for us now with two straight defeats, but they'll probably be raring to go and ready to put those defeats right if Holloway is the manager I think he is (a good one).

I hate it when people say thta. How can a team who goes down be "too good togo down" if they were too good to go down they wouldn't be in the position that they are currently in. Maybe their crop of players are better than the standard of League 1, but football is a team game, and as a team they've just not been good enough throughout the season. On the 2 defeats matter it can work either way, but normally it always works against Leicester.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Twat! Well how about that... It works for Manwell, but it's done nothing for me. I'll have to find someone else to call names instead... Yo, berty, over 'ere.

Foxes 2 da grave Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 I was hoping they would go down because before the home game with Leeds recently I met two away fans and they said if they go down they would most probably go bust. But I guess someone of the calibre of Gary Lineker for them would get them out of trouble.

It's supposed to be a bit of an oxymoron (hence the qualifier 'actually') but Leeds do have a squad that's much better than ours.
Bert Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 It's supposed to be a bit of an oxymoron (hence the qualifier 'actually') but Leeds do have a squad that's much better than ours. They do, i don't disagree, but how they play as a team is totally different. I mean who would have guessed they would be down there this season after losing in the play-offs last season? No drastic squad changes or anything, so something must have gone wrong. Look at teams such as Spain and Holland, great squads, but they've never really lived up their potential in the past few years. If Greece can win the Euro championships, surely a team with the calibre of Spain and Holland should be able to. The key is how the team gels.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Call me what you like. It doesn't bother me. OK petal. Just think... if our squad wasn't so bloody hopeless, Leeds would still be in the drop zone right now. Our squad deserves to be hung out to dry just for that particular crime against football.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 Do we really want another past-great down in League One? They might as well start televising games for all the ex-prem clubs down there
Simi Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 Feck sake. I thought these basta*ds would escape to. It just doesn't sound right for 'Leeds to be in League 1' after where they were last season.
Geo V Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 They have too many good players to avoid relegation. Lets hope Wise has done enough to get sacked.
Guest Gist Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 Leeds remaining fixtures: Colchester (A) Burnley (H) Southampton (A) Ipswich (H) Derby (A) I can only see them winning their two home games at best.
