On the subject of outgrounds, would imagine Royal Kibworth would soon be pushing for a first team game? Hinckley is an absolute dive (or was when I played a game there a couple of years ago). Harborough's might be up to scratch if they build a new clubhouse.

 

Shame Ibstock's ground's not bigger. Love their pavilion!

Between 6-8 of the deadwood going i think people like wyatt, redfern etc. Cobb is coming back from what i understand.

 

Well that's a start and some on here think supporting the City is hard.

Adil looks a good prospect so he can hopefully grab one of the batting positions, not sure what to think of Redfearn because he never plays, perfect for 1 day cricket but we never see him. I don't think Jefferson has ever been properly replaced, is it 3 seasons since he retired?

I don't think Boon, Whitaker, Habib, Smith, Nixon, Parsons, Millns, Mullally have ever been replaced!  :nigel:

I play for Ibstock, we've just had all the big conifer trees to the left of the pavillion chopped down, looks very different now lol

Don't quite get your point, all the players you mention were replaced by decent players, Wells, Maddy, Stevens, Lewis, Ormond, O'Brien, Broad, Taylor, Jefferson was our best opening bat in recent years and years later has still not been properly replaced by a competent opening bat.

Don't quite get your point, all the players you mention were replaced by decent players, Wells, Maddy, Stevens, Lewis, Ormond, O'Brien, Broad, Taylor, Jefferson was our best opening bat in recent years and years later has still not been properly replaced by a competent opening bat.

 

I agree he was a decent player.

 

I was basically just saying our playing staff has been guff for about 10 years barring the odd exception

Didn't really take his chance at the start of the year and has terrible beard....... ;)

Not sure how Wyatt has lasted this long, never really threatened keeping a first team spot.

Some interesting ins and outs will be taking place at County over the winter, major overhaul planned.

I can't reveal any names I'm afraid. The 3 players we want, one is a South African batsman who we are trying to sign as a Kolpak player, the other is a young talented English wicket keeper, and lastly a former fox to return.

Also, the last 2 depend pretty much on us getting rid of 1 member of our squad, which we are trying to do. Sorry I can't give you any names, otherwise I'll never be able to tell you anything.

Should be a busy morning tomorrow at the club, several announcements to be made.
