Thracian Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Quorn should be a good day, I hope they are still playing Crewe aswell although Varney has gone, last year Quorn only lost 2-1 against a full strength Crewe side. Is Stuart Turner still involved with Quorn?
dandannieldanok Posted 14 June 2007 Posted 14 June 2007 Is Stuart Turner still involved with Quorn? He's the chairman
dandannieldanok Posted 14 June 2007 Posted 14 June 2007 Yes they are playing Quorn, think its two or three days after. You going? Hopefully, not sure yet though.
Thracian Posted 14 June 2007 Posted 14 June 2007 He's the chairman If his club's team's anything like him they'll be competitive if nothing else. Can't imagine him doing "friendlies". He must have mellowed. Anyway it's a game I wouldn't want to miss.

Oh yes they'll be up for it, whatever team Allen puts out will get a tough game, they proved it last year by falling just short to full-strength Crewe 2-1 last pre-season.
Tevez Posted 14 June 2007 Posted 14 June 2007 I'm going to follow Quorn abit this year, they have some quality facilities.
lcfc_jme Posted 14 June 2007 Posted 14 June 2007 I'm going to watch the Citeh game against Quorn. And if Quorn happen to meet Alsager (which I think is a real possibility) I shall be watching them twice this season.

davieG Posted 20 June 2007 Posted 20 June 2007 Leicester City will take on East Midlands rivals Notts County at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday, July 21 (k.o. 3pm). The announcement means that the Foxes will now play two pre-season friendlies at home in the build up to the 2007-08 campaign - the other being against Portsmouth on Saturday, August 4. City have taken on Notts County at Meadow Lane in seasons gone by as a warm up to the upcoming season - but this fixture will mark the Magpies' first visit to the Walkers Stadium. The game will give Foxes fans their first chance of seeing Martin Allen's new recruits in action for the first time at home - which so far include Carl Cort, Bruno N'Gotty, Radostin Kishishev, Jimmy Nielsen, Ricky Sappleton and Sergio Hellings. Leicester will now face a total of nine games during their pre-season campaign - including a trip to Scotland to face Partick Thistle and Kilmarnock. Ticket details for the contest will be released here on lcfc.com as soon as they are available. Pre-season fixture list in full: Saturday, July 14 v Quorn FC (a) 3pm Tuesday, July 17 v Hinckley United (a) 7:30pm Friday, July 20 v Mansfield Town (a) 7:00pm Saturday, July 21 v Notts County (h) 3:00pm Tuesday, July 24 v Partick Thistle (a) 7:45pm Saturday, July 28 v Kilmarnock (a) 3:00pm Tuesday, July 31v Cheltenham Town (a) 7:45pm Saturday, August 4 v Portsmouth (h) 3:00pm Monday, August 6 v Cambridge United (a) 7:45pm

davieG Posted 20 June 2007 Posted 20 June 2007 This is almost as mouthwatering as Portsmouth.A bumper cround of around 11,000 Depends how much the charge, it should be something like a fiver for adults, £1 for concessions and under 16s free. Fill the bloody place out and drum up some momentum for the season.
