Phube Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Well it's everone's human right to have a pool table!!! Will we ever learn...?
Micky Ruddle Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 lets sue to government for having dust on the cupboards then
Bluefoxtim Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 remember it is the papers. the thing about the pool table at the start in big letters with quite a bit about it. then at the end "he also alleges he was kept in dirty conditions". Shows how papers sentationalise things
Daggers Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 remember it is the papers. It's The Sun - that's not a newspaper
Guest Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Being kept in poor conditions is a breach of the governments duty. Absence of games room isn't, although I would suspect that the real argument is "lack of recreational facilities".
Zingari Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 it could only happen in the UK no doubt the sun has sensationalised but the basis is probably true
The People's Hero Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 That headline article was a bit like reading a Thracian post. All the hyperbole and mis-direction you could hope to find.
Lord Nibblington Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 I like the random comment at the bottom of the article - Want him deported? Tell us at blah. Good work the Sun. Pointless sensationalism at its base level.
Zingari Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 I like the random comment at the bottom of the article - Want him deported? Tell us at blah.Good work the Sun. Pointless sensationalism at its base level. why i want him deported , hes an illegal immigrant and a criminal ,wasting taxpayers money on ridiculous law suits, what should the sun do ; have a phone in on whether we should knight him?
The Reverend Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 why i want him deported , hes an illegal immigrant and a criminal ,wasting taxpayers money on ridiculous law suits, what should the sun do ; have a phone in on whether we should knight him? Exactly. It may be sensationalism, but hes a criminal, an illegal immigrant and they should make him live in a farm or something with the other animals. The cheek.
Lord Nibblington Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 why i want him deported , hes an illegal immigrant and a criminal ,wasting taxpayers money on ridiculous law suits, what should the sun do ; have a phone in on whether we should knight him? Yes. That's clearly what I was suggesting. I mean, there are no other people in this country filling stupid lawsuits. Oh no. Nor are there other illegal immigrants anywhere else in the country. I found the comment amusing, because of it's sheer pointlessness. It's hardly up to the general public to phone the Sun and get him deported.
The People's Hero Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Don't want to pi ss on anyone's bonfire here, but it's probably partly made up. They will wait till everyone has forgotten about it and then print a very small apology/correction at the bottom of page 14.

My logic is that this is one case in a wider problem, and rather than get people to phone in and vent their spleen on the immigrants, and how they should all be deported in a tiny box over one random guy, we should be thinking of the bigger picture. Same goes for stupid ass law suits. It's just this guys misfortune to be a immigrant launching a stupid ass law suit. If he was one or the other, it wouldn't make the paper at all. Also, I wouldn't want them shot. Just nibbled.

Just nibbled. but the point of this sort of action is unless someone like the sun has these phone-ins etc, the lazy useless bunch of tw*ts in government do nothing for fear of upsetting anyone in fear of being called racist etc i agree we should be looking at the bigger picture but unless the issues get raised how does anyone go about it ? but you are wrong on the law suit point ; there have been many times the red tops have high lighted ridiculous lawsuits and ambulance chasing lawyers keep on nibbling you know its the only way
Micky Ruddle Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 it also says he sneaked back into the country doesnt that show how much of a poor country we are for letting in illegals. Great Britain No More Britain was Great UK pfft, its WWB World Wide Britain

They don't seem to have had much success so far with the reduction in ridiculous lawsuits and ambulance chasing lawyers.

The People's Hero Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 they may not listen to the sun but they may listen to its many reader's if they feel likely to lose their seats in parliament Can Sun readers STILL vote?
Guest Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 they may not listen to the sun but they may listen to its many reader's if they feel likely to lose their seats in parliament Traditionally, Sun readers are not Labour supporters.
