Collymore Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Link If it brings money to the club it can't be bad. Hopefully green grass can appear there, it will be good for the pitch

He slammed his breaks on and went mad green grass style
dan_84 Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 A mate of mine does the security at the city, and there are apperently plans for a big music concert and also a live WWE event (Wrestling).... Surely that will provide us with some money.

Teeno Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 How class would that be, the likes of Austin, Goldberg etc comin to town. If they are still in it, haven't seen it for years. Use to watch WCW when Goldberg was Champ. Watched a bit of WWF but wasn't as good.

stez Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 hopefully these events'll be in the summer so the pitch'll be renewed afterwards anyway. having said that if the freakin egg chacers get their long studs on the pitch it'll be a knacker whether green grass gigs there or not
MADLEVEIN Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 kasabian will be doing one there i bet on the wrestling note, has the ultimate warrior ever made a comeback ??
dan_84 Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 IM NOT AT ALL INTO WRESTLING BUT MY BROTHER LOVES IT. AUSTIN AND GOLDGERG HAVE BOTH GONE OUT OF IT, AND NO WARRIOR HAS NEVER COME BACK. HE'S A BIT LIKE STEVE WALSH A ABSOLUTE LEGEND WHO WILL NEVER RETURN HOW EVER MUCH WE WANT HIM TO

Ash Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Aslong as our club makes money i'm not fused about who plays there
Bedford Fox Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 It was part of the ground share idea there will be the best football ,rugby and music at one great venue! sounds like a great idea but it could work out a diaster if they ruin our home!

Nationwider Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 I'd book Englebert Humperdink in the hope that he'd leave £20 million quid for CL to splash on new players in a big carrier bag on the stage.
dan_84 Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 what was that band Dion Dublins Dad was in? was it shiwaddywaddy? Knowing how entertaining the actual entertainment is in there at half time
TrickyTrev Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 It wouldn't effect the pitch, the audience don't actually stand on the grass! There is a think sheeting pout down that forms a nice protective layer. I think this can only be good news for the club.

breadandcheese Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 Do you think they could get the band that sang "Brian Little's Blue & White Army" back in 1992 or was it 1993. Always shocked me that that song never stole the top spot in the charts. What a great song. "We're going up, going up yeah, Brian Little's Blue & White Army"...

You would be far too far away from the performers otherwise. (I think you were implying they wouldn't go on the pitch area but I am not so sure)

Foxes_Trust Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 They are aiming for the concerts for early June (confirmed on the OS today). Aiming to attract different generations to each concert (a young 'uns & an old un's concert in other words). Don't know anymore at present
