The People's Hero Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Always a favourite. The Best Of....
Finnegan Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 SLF. Beirut Moon is one of the best songs ever written, tbh.
Deathside Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Classssic And your profile says you were born in '85! - If that's right I don't think many people your age have heard of Government Issue? Not sure how many gigs they played in the UK but I'm glad I got to see them at least once (Coventry) - I think Scream also played the same gig?
Finnegan Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 They're hardly old school old school, aren't they eighties? I've not heard much of their stuff but I know one of the Minor Threat guys played with them?

Unbelivable you got to see them, I've been playing that EP a lot lately (I've not got an OG copy, my record buying funds wouldn't stretch that far!) but I picked up a bootleg LP of 4 early Dischord 7"s ages ago for nice and cheap (It's basically the same as the Dischord 1981 year in 7"s set, but without the Minor Threat stuff I think) They're probably my favourite DC kind of band of that era, apart from Minor Threat and maybe SSD.
OBO Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 Yet you listen to Saves the Day? Haha sorry mate! I could probably fight Saves The Day's corner until I was blue in the face and still no-one would be bothered! So I'll leave it be. I like them, just as much as I like Bad Brains and S.O.A and a whole bunch of other stuff! Variety is the spice of life and all that..
Janx Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 My best mate's sister does all the art work for this band....factoid!!! also designed the Virgin Megastore booth on oxford st. another factoid!
The People's Hero Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 You're full of factoids today, JankssssyyyY! Give us another!
Janx Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 You're full of factoids today, JankssssyyyY! Give us another! If my calculations are correnct, you will be in the "trough" of your hangover... at times like this remember the "Japanese Power Nap" 10 minutes at car temperature laid out will do wonders.... FACT!
The People's Hero Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 I'm alone in the office and my office seat recline to almost horizontal. It does require some balance though. Problem is the phones keep ringing.

Bad Brains are still (by miles) the most stunning live band I've ever seen (circa '87 - I Against I tour)
