davieG Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 The Amazon link is up on the new shopping page. I'll try and get more links on there eventually but for now, remember to visit Amazon through Foxestalk when buying from there. Hi Mark do you have to buy or visit and is there a minimum purchase value?
Mark Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Hi Mark do you have to buy or visit and is there a minimum purchase value? You have to buy I think, I'm not sure about minimum purchase value. Here's a brief explanation of how this works - http://affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/gp/a...4293941-4007009. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
lookwhaticando Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Briefly scanning the Operating Agreement or whatever it's called, I can't seem to see any specific minimum values for products purchased. There is a maximum you can earn (7 quid on a single electronic item, I think it said) but no indicated minimums. The revenue depends on the structure you've selected... and it applies to all "Qualifying Revenues". "Qualifying Revenues" are revenues derived by us from our sales of Qualifying Product units (other than services available on the Amazon.co.uk site), excluding costs for shipping, handling, gift-wrapping, taxes, service charges, credit card processing fees, returns and bad debt.An "Amazon Qualifying Product" is a Qualifying Product that is sold and fulfilled by us or on our behalf. There's also referral rates for some of the 'services' mentioned above, under the second fee structure.
City Fan Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Quickly scanning the link, am I right in thinking you get 4%? Of sales or profit?
lookwhaticando Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Quickly scanning the link, am I right in thinking you get 4%? Of sales or profit? Assuming he chose the "classic" fee rate, then yes it's 4%. And it's on "revenue" which one would naturally assume to be sales, rather than profit.

It will be christmas time when Mark will be raking it in, not sure about others but I do literally all my christmas shopping on Amazon.
Head Honcho Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 But as the OS would own it they would just pay for all the stuff so we would still be able to chat, can't see how it'd change I doubt the club would endorse a site on which "Hammond is shoite" is posted at least five times a day!
lookwhaticando Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 I doubt the club would endorse a site on which "Hammond is shoite" is posted at least five times a day! Only Five?! Which forum have you been reading?

Head Honcho Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 Agreed.I'm unbelievably broke this month for a number of reasons. Some being my fault... but the majority being down to the banks losing over £500 of my money. Down the line, I will donate. Very thankful to Mark for not only the money necessary to run this place, but also for the hardwork required in terms of updates/maintenance etc. Why don't you just pay a little often like I intend to do? If just 2% of members give a pound a month that'll be nearly a grand a year so 5% will be £2500. That should be enough shouldn't it? Didn't realise there was a link to Amazon Just half an hour ago I bought a camera for the mother in law for £200! How much would that have been in the coffers?

I'm sure you can cancel the order and order it again using the link.
Head Honcho Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 I'm sure you can cancel the order and order it again using the link. Yeh you're right Anish. As long as it isn't despatched you can cancel. Took seconds to do it! £129.99 the camera cost so should swell the coffers a little. I bought the extra's on ebay so if there was an ebay link that would have been a bit more!
