Karnjit Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Dundee United are interested in transfer-listed Leicester defender Alan Maybury. (The Sun) he could have became a good player at this level, but he couldnt be arsed!!
Mort Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Cant say its surprising, we'll pretty much take any offer and a fair few scottish clubs should be interested.
Tubes Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 i think he will either be going back up north or to one of the lower championship clubs
shen Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 i think he will either be going back up north or to one of the lower championship clubs That'll be Barnsley, Hull or any of the 3 newly promoted teams then
davieG Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 I thought it had been established that Dundee can't afford this type of player. As for lower championship, why it was only 6 months ago Roy Keene tried to sign him for his Championship winning team!
Mort Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 As for lower championship, why it was only 6 months ago Roy Keene tried to sign him for his Championship winning team! I think you'll find the Sunderland bid for Mabbs was back during Quinn's tenure as manager... not much interest in him after Roy Keane came in
Dr The Singh Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 I thought it had been established that Dundee can't afford this type of player. As for lower championship, why it was only 6 months ago Roy Keene tried to sign him for his Championship winning team! Nial Quinn wanted to sign him when he was in charge, I think!! And due to city's hesitation and delay, Sunderland gave up!! He's good enough at this level, but since the proposed move to Sunderland, his performances have been poor!!!
JoeyB Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 i think you'll find that when he goes, no one will care were
Master Fox Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Dundee United are interested in transfer-listed Leicester defender Alan Maybury. (The Sun)he could have became a good player at this level, but he couldnt be arsed!! No he couldn't. He's a pile of sh*t and always has been.
Simi Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 The sooner we manage to get rid of the likes of Maybury the better, and if we get money for them then I'll be very happy. I can't see him going to Dundee though.

mancunianfox Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Leeds is a prob solution. I'd rather we sent Hammond and Douglas to Leeds
