The national newspaper; The People suggests that new Blades boss Bryan Robson is to target Savage and is willing to spend £2,000,000 on the former Red Devils trainee. Savage, 32 is currently suffering with a broken leg but Robson sees the 39 Welsh capped international as the ideal man to push United back into the Premiership.

Mort Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Savage would never play in the championship if he could avoid it... thinks its beneath him, he's a player you love if he plays for you but in the end he's out for himself and while talented he's not nearly as good as he thinks he is, we need an experienced utility player, but one who's affordable (not Savage) and one who can offer something for two or more seasons (not Lennon)...
Jay Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Robson seems to have gone a bit mental with rumours that he wants to sign players like Koumas, Kieran Richardson, david Healy and now Robbie Savage either he has a stupid amount of money to spend which I doubt OR he doesn't seem to understand Sheff Utd are in the Championship OR he's a bit of a fruitcake who hasn't got a clue!! I'm going fort the last one
