MBK Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 European Culinary Success For Foxes Posted on: Tue 12 Jun 2007 Leicester City have beaten off stiff competition from some of Europe's biggest clubs to finish 18th in the European Football Food League, according to visiting fans. In a study conducted by the Football Fans Census on behalf of Drivers Jonas Sport last month, supporters were asked to rate the European clubs they had visited, other than their own, in terms of the facilities, view of the pitch and access to and from the ground. And the Foxes, who also scored further success at last month's Official Football Hospitality Awards, were delighted to hear that they had been named amongst the culinary giants of Europe. A club spokesman said: "We are delighted to have been recognised for serving some of the best food across Europe. "To be named in the top 20 alongside the likes of FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid is a wonderful tribute to the immeasurable hard work undertaken by everyone at this football club. "We pride ourselves on our high standards and are always keen to provide fans who visit the Walkers Stadium with a unique and pleasurable match-day experience both on and off the field." Leicester also finished 20th in the Best Bar category. Geoff Aucock, Partner at Drivers Jonas and head of the company's sports division, added: "The study clearly shows that fans' enjoyment is not just measured in terms of the quality of the football, it's about the whole match-day experience. "Fans appreciate good stadia facilities, ease of access and most of all, a fantastic atmosphere." The survey was conducted online and supporters of 123 teams were represented including all clubs in the Premiership and Football League. FOOD Q. Thracian Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 I'm a bit confused by this. Does it relate to the food served in the restaurant, the food served at the matchday kiosks, or are the findings a measure of all catering combined?
Cat Burger Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 BS. And that is not an acronym for the baby squad. That's just such poor feel good propaganda, most Leicester fans know from experience that the food is shit, so who are they trying to fool?
Lord Nibblington Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 This counts for so much. I mean, give Kidderminster fans the option of being 8th in the food list or, well, in the Football League, and I'm sure we all know which they'd want.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 BS.And that is not an acronym for the baby squad. That's just such poor feel good propaganda, most Leicester fans know from experience that the food is shit, so who are they trying to fool? Amen brother.

I guess bu the Chef in the pic it's for the corporate hospitality match day food not the crap they serve to the minions in the rest of the ground
city1993 Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 What a ridiculous thing that was, is that all the federation do with their days ??
MC Prussian Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Another brilliant example of how one can screw up at statistics. Hilariously stupid. Deserves a price for "best dumbass & worthless announcement ever".
Vacamion Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 It must include the pies sold at the ground, as Kilmarnock are so high up, and their pies are legendary.
mat_j101 Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Im guessing it does include cororate/business club food because it is pretty good. I often have lunch before the match and it is very good. I havent been there, but i have been told the fosse restaurant is also fairly decent

lcfc_jme Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Our food is actually quite poor on the kiosks on matchdays. Never been to eat in the restaurant parts but I know people who work there and say they are unimpressed by it all.
