Apparently he was Dowie's player who got into the team in the 'teachers pet' mode. A favourite of the manager at the time. £1m..............feck off!!! Although, my mate says he has got better over the past 3 seasons..........he is nothing to write home about. Danns or Clemence are a better prospect easily.

My mate is a season ticket holder in the holmesdale end at Palace and two players who he and a lot of Eagles fans can't stand are Ward and Soares. Watson is pretty good tho. Darren Ward is a donkey.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 Sounds good to me, he is one of Palace's better players, along with Ben Watson who was also linked to us in january. Watson plays in a similar postion doesn't he? I'd rather he came to us than Soares because he looks like he'd work for the team and not himself (Soares). Soares certainly has the potential but whether he can be arsed to use it is another question. Watson would be great, though.
