I had £100 item nicked this morning but I'm not complaining...

It was still a damned good day and I consoled myself by remembering a pal who got turned over for £40,000 two months ago, restocked and then got his car emptied again in a supermarket car park within days.

No wonder people are tempted to hire hit-men.

The poor bloke's close to 70.

It made me think. It must be the most satisfying job in the world - being an avenging hit-man.

I had all the cash I was carrying nicked last night. Some people are scumbags. You have my full sympathy, although I have every intention of complaining, in the vain hope the thieving bitch is caught.

I ironed a duvet cover.

Interesting. Very interesting.

Why?

The reasons were twofold.

1. The imminent arrival of Her Most Imperial Majesty, The Mother-In-Law, necessitated flat bedding.

2. The usual modes of achieving non-creased bedding (dry weather for hanging outside, or just not bothering because who gives a tinker's cuss about a few crinkles?) were not available.

The following week promises to be stormy...
