lookwhaticando Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Condom-maker asks for 200 testers The Australian unit of condom-maker Durex is on the look out for 200 men and women to test its products. Durex is one of the world's largest condom-makers Durex Australia said the chosen researchers would have to report back on the performance of its range. While those selected will not be paid, they will get free packs of Durex products and be entered into a A$1,000 ($854; £425) prize draw. Following a similar request for testers in the UK, Durex said it would welcome humorous application letters. 'Brag to mates' "With this job on your CV, it really will be a chance to brag to your mates about the special skills you possess, not to mention that your new role will work wonders with the opposite sex," said Durex marketing manager Sam White. Applicants have been asked to explain why they would be most suited to the role. The chosen 200 will be urged to provide honest feedback. Durex is owned by UK based SSL International. ----------- What happens if the product fails? Do the participants have the right to sue for maintenance?
cisono Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Can the 200 test participants test the condoms with whoever they wish or are they limited to testing with other study participants?
Sly Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 Can the 200 test participants test the condoms with whoever they wish or are they limited to testing with other study participants? Where do I apply?
nadalbg Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 I wonder what kind of people would go to this tests. I mean, that is so personal.
Rincewind Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 does this mean that they are only going to sell the tested ones? Are they going to put on the packet 'Tried and tested so no worries there then.'
Jay Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 surely this is a bit dodgy if they are being tested surely it means that they are prototypes in which case they may not work or in a worse case scenario you might have an allergic reaction and your old man..... well I think you can all sense what I am going on about too painful to type
davieG Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 Well it depends what they are testing for, if it's to determine whether they are secure then it's a bit catch 22. You'd wouldn't apply if you wanted a baby, in case they worked or if you didn't want a baby in case they didn't On the other hand if they are being tested to see whether they enhance or impair the experience then I would imagine volunteers would be plentiful. My bet's on the second with super dooper ribbed specials awaiting the seal of approval.
Webbo Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 What if it's the flavoured variety and you've got to test the taste, in situ.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 July 2007 Author Posted 7 July 2007 What if it's the flavoured variety and you've got to test the taste, in situ. “Condom’s come in all different flavours nowadays. There’s strawberry and curry and that. Do you like curry?”
Geo V Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 If they want limp cocks all they need to do is approach the Nottingham lads, especially the Trees supporters
The People's Hero Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 Not if I'm not getting paid for it. I don't do unpaid sex.
