lookwhaticando Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 So, in preparation for work this afternoon/evening, I decided to have a late breakfast (read: lunch). A quick and easy lunch is some form of bacon sarnie/butty/bap/cob/whatever you want to call it. Mine usually consist of: lots of bacon and some brown sauce; or lots of bacon, some mayo and lettuce (can't be arsed to cut a tomato usually). How do you take yours?
Pete_foxes Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 with Mayo definatly. Always have it with my kebab & chips aswel
Kent Fox Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 Well cooked bacon, in buttered thick fresh bread. Add a dash of the fat you cook the bacon in. Liberally add brown (or red) sauce. Top with a fried, runny egg. Add other piece of bread. Bacon Sarnie. Done.
Webbo Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 Mayo is for chips. Just thickly spread butter on brown bread, with a fried egg if I'm feeling extravagant.
Floating Fox Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 HP sauce if your making some LWICD. I had a Smoked bacon & Chicken cob in my "lunch break" today. Had mayo on it but surprised me with it being delightufull
Blue Bob Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 Smoked bacon, white bread, tomato ketchup. Egg damn good option but then so is mushrooms and sausages - breakfast sarnie Mmmmmm!!!!! Heaven
Daggers Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 Bacon is best served between two slices of fried bread, spread with marmite and garnished with: Fried egg yolk Mushrooms Fried tomato Baked beans Black pudding A sausage Hash browns ...a large orange & grapefruit juice and a jumbo mug of coffee on the side.

You are a sick man - Marmite Sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen if you have too many of them
Daggers Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 You are a sick man - Marmite Sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen if you have too many of them  Beans, tomato, orange, grapefruit and mushroom...that's the full five a day in one breakfast. First the Government tell me to eat healthy - then you tell me not to eat healthy. Someone should make their mind up...and I'm sticking with chips for breakfast until they do.
Bluefoxtim Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 I recently had the unhealthiest sandwich and the salt levels could have lasted me about 2 months. 4 slices of thick white bread, 6 rashers of thick smoked bacon, 2 runny fried eggs (cooked in the bacon fat), mushrooms, and a few baked beans (cooked in the bacon AND egg fat) with lots of brown sauce. Lovely......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

If you listen to the government you would do jack - dont: - smoke, drink - certainly not binge drink, eat fatty foods, definately not drugs, do anything that will increase your carbon footprint. Dont know how they expect you to enjoy yourself!!!!

sdb Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 ok, it sounds like just chucking everything possible in (it kinda is), but my bacon bonanza is a real treat: fry your bacon and then lightly grill with a generous layer of cheeder cheese on top. spread bread with mayo AND ketchup (go crazy), and add coleslaw and chopped cherry tomatoes. tuck in! DONE

Guest Posted 16 July 2007 Posted 16 July 2007 Tomato sauce, no butter. 3 slices to a cob If you grill the bacon so that it is lovely and crispy, I would love one of your bacon sarnies. Thank you.
