Scow Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 Walker Maybury - Dublin - Dabizas - Stewart Gillespie - Gudjonsson - Williams - Tiatto Connolly - de Vries Subs: Hirschfeld, Stearman, Hughes, Wright, Nalis ----------------------------------------------- So it's just Maybury in for Makin, and Williams in for Hughes...
filbertway Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 I agree with it all but swap joey with hughes.
Scow Posted 16 February 2005 Author Posted 16 February 2005 Williams in for Hughes? Why? 67520 Because Williams was playing well before he got injured. Hughes played well against Ipswich, but I felt that Joey and Williams were beginning to form an effective midfield partnership.
Little Nicky Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 Walker Maybury - Heath - Dublin - Stewart Gillespie - Hughes - Williams - Tiatto Connolly - De Vries Subs: Hirschfeld, Dabizas, Stearman, Gudjonsson, Wright. A little unorthodox I know, but I think thats our most attacking line up, and we need to attack against Charlton, we must start scoring!
Ash Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 Gung Ho wouldn't work against a Premiership team like Charlton ! And we aren't actually scoring loads in the Championship are we ?!
Wellman Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 WalkerMaybury - Heath - Dublin - Stewart Gillespie - Hughes - Williams - Tiatto Connolly - De Vries Subs: Hirschfeld, Dabizas, Stearman, Gudjonsson, Wright. I agree with that line up.

Wilson Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 I think it'll be Scowys team in the first half & then hughes will replace Gudjonsson later on.
step Posted 17 February 2005 Posted 17 February 2005 Walker Maybury - Dabizas- Dublin - Stewart Gillespie - Hughes - Williams - Tiatto Connolly - De Vries Subs: Heath, Nalis, Stearman, Gudjonsson, Wright.
Bedford Fox Posted 17 February 2005 Posted 17 February 2005 WalkerMaybury - Dabizas- Dublin - Stewart Gillespie - Hughes - Williams - Tiatto Connolly - De Vries Subs: Heath, Nalis, Stearman, Gudjonsson, Wright. 67781 Good team but i am also concerned about not having a ball winner in there! Too attacking!
Ric Flair Posted 17 February 2005 Posted 17 February 2005 67790 No Williams davie? Not even on the bench? I would like to see if Williams and Hughes can play together, if they can our midfield will be sorted. People keep waffling on about us not having a ball winner if Gaz and Shug play together but we've not had an effective one all season anyway! Gudjonsson has been woeful, so it makes no odds that we need a ball winner, we haven't got one other than Dawson. Walker Maybury Dublin Stearman Stewart Gillespie Williams Hughes Tiatto MDV Connolly Subs: Dabizas, Gudjonsson, Wright, Hirchfield, Dawson I know it won't be that, but i'd love it if it was.

Bedford Fox Posted 17 February 2005 Posted 17 February 2005 i would love to see it if hughes can get stuck in then it could be a good pairing!
Oli Posted 17 February 2005 Posted 17 February 2005 67790 I am beginning to think you have to much time on your hands Davie.

'a game too soon'

Scow Posted 18 February 2005 Author Posted 18 February 2005 People keep waffling on about us not having a ball winner if Gaz and Shug play together but we've not had an effective one all season anyway! As I said earlier in the thread, Joey and Williams were starting to form an effective midfield partnership. I know Hughes isn't Nalis, but he isn't a ball winner, and it's vital you have at least one midfielder in the centre who is able to put their foot in, win the ball back, and initiate attacks. Williams and Hughes together just won't perform that function. We need someone with a presence...
davieG Posted 18 February 2005 Posted 18 February 2005 Lookslike Tommy Wrright might be a doubt according to Team Talk
davieG Posted 18 February 2005 Posted 18 February 2005 Lookslike Tommy Wrright might be a doubt according to Team Talk 68122 Ooooops, but not according to the official site Injury Boost For Foxes Matt HeathLeicester boss Craig Levein hopes to have a near fully fit squad available for Saturday's FA Cup fifth round clash against Charlton Athletic. Levein has been thwarted on the injury front in recent weeks - with Gareth Williams (hamstring), Alan Maybury (flu) and Matt Heath (illness) all missing last weekend's Championship defeat at the hands of Ipswich. But the good news is that the trio are now all back in training - leaving just Nathan Blake (hamstring), Lee Morris (knee) and Jason Wilcox (cruciate) on the sidelines. Levein said: "Gareth, Alan and Matt all missed out last week for various reasons, but all are available this weekend. "We don't have that many injury worries right now and in the next three weeks we should see Nathan and Lee back in action. Jason won't be far off either so we could have a fully fit squad by then." City travel to the Valley looking to capture a place in the quarter finals of the competition - backed by 4,000 travelling supporters.
Durnerz Posted 18 February 2005 Posted 18 February 2005 I would definetly go with experience at the back for this one, Heath would get bullied very easily by the likes of Bartlett/Jeffers/Johansson/Euell (should he play), Definetly need a ball winner in the midfield to compete against Matt Holland, Joey i'd keep in, I agree with scowys line up.
