I agree but he's the type of player who would settle for a squad place unlike the others mentioned. He's been unlucky with injuries and a fit ameobi would do well in the division.

There also in for some dude from Lyon who's a defender, was/is their captain. Can't remember his name. Allardyce has said that he wants defenders but Newcastle are Newcastle and cannot resist buying strikers.

Thats what i was thinkin due to the ammount of strikers they already have, also i think that ameobi is quality and would walk into most if not every team in the championship.
